5/5/08 -- Missoula, MT

Recommended Posts

A much bigger venue than last night in Bozeman, but I thought it didn't detract from the show as much as other big (basketball arena-esque) venues I've been to. Given the size of the place, I was impressed that they did Reservations. Nice variety in songs for people who got to see both of the Montana shows. :thumbup

Minutiae for nerds:

-Jeff (no hat tonight) dedicated Jesus to a "67-year-old woman" who blew past him as he was walking up the 'M' trail earlier in the day. He said she didn't appear to even break a sweat.

-On the "I'll check the phone again" part in Hate It Here, Pat pulled out a toy phone and put the handset to his ear. Haha. :lol

-At the end of Hate It Here, Nels broke a string; it must have really snapped, too, because it came flying off his guitar.

-Jeff used a white Gibson SG on Spiders that I hadn't seen before (or at least in a long time)

Reading the set lists, reviews and impressions of these first 5 shows has my wife and me so excited about the 3 Pageant shows NEXT WEEK!!!! and the JAX and Charleston shows. They just seem to be having even more fun than usual, if that is even possible, and the request idea is the coolest thing ever. Some unheard/rarely heard music is happening. I am champing at the proverbial bit! Thanks everyone for the various show reports.

No matter how many times I see that, it still makes me feel warm and gooey on the inside. :wub

Seconded. That's one of my favorite things. :thumbup

I am a little jealous you guys got Theologians. One of the only ones I was really hoping for in Fargo/Winnipeg that I didn't get. Guess I should have requested it. There are just too many great songs to choose from.

ditto! it sounded amazing!

another great show from the guys. i was upfront again and had a pretty good time, except for two drunks who kept on trying to get everyone to "dance" and started squishing everyone against the rail. :realmad but we put them in there place! i got to hear several more songs that I'd never heard live before which made me wicked happy!

i really freakin' love Wilco. :wub that's all there is to it!
