jenbobblehead
Wish i could have been at the game last night. The one on Monday was great. I think the biggest thing taken from the series for me is that there are Rays FOR fans now. I went to the last Rays/Sox series here and it was depressing. Red Sox chants echoing through the dome, red everywhere. It was great to see the Rays are starting to get a fanbase. They had an article in our paper about local Sox fans changing allegiance as the Rays get better and better.blasphemy. sox fans changing allegiances are not sox fans at all. edit: what lammy said. Guest Cousin Tupelo
blasphemy. sox fans changing allegiances are not sox fans at all. edit: what lammy said. There was a great package of stories on ESPN's MLB section about "bandwagon jumpers" including a top 10 Tips for jumping bandwagons. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...andwagon/080620

Sir Stewart
Transferring allegiance from one team to another is unforgivable, outside of special childhood-based circumstances such as death, divorce, etc.

jenbobblehead
Yup. Although I will say you can create a relationship with another team that isn't in your league. For example, Caliber is a lifelong Braves fan, and now he's ALSO a Red Sox fan.

Reni
So what about all of the fans of other teams who became Sox fans in the last 4 years? douchebags. -- I will forever and always be a Cardinals fan - but since marrying a White Sox fan (and one who is obsessively a White Sox fan) and moving to Chicago, I have become quite a Sox fan myself. I certainly watch a lot more Sox games, since it is more accessible and that damn MLBTV is just shit. And yes, Hawk sucks. DJ is just a wet mop. I am quite smitten with Ed Farmer and Steve Stone, though. I love listening to Sox games on the radio.
