Smokestack Joe
yes i am totally stoked about the Bruins thus far. hopefully they can hold on!!
So Long
I'm gonna go out and say it, if the Bruins continue playing the way they are right now, we are a true cup contender. I haven't said those words in six years, but haven't meant it until this very moment.

TCP
You'd think I'd be freaking out more then I am but I am not. I believe the Canucks can sustain for a short period of time without Luongo... also there's the wild card in Cory Schneider, who has been absolutely phenomenal in the AHL this year and would probably be playing in the NHL if he was on any team other then the Canucks. 2-3 weeks and Luongo will be back, I hope. Winston Legthigh
Detroit's record after one game: 0-1-0.Since then: 14-1-3. Stanley Cup hangover? I wish MY hangovers felt this way...
tongue-tied lightning
nice acticle walkenbeating Montreal is what really counts right now, going through them is the only way to get to the cup.The Redwings are always a headache, we'll see how we do Friday night. bjorn_skurj
I am thankful that the Rangers have won five of seven and are back on top of the Eastern Conference.
TCP
I can't believe Naslund didn't over skate that puck in the shoot out. What an asshole.
TCP
Sweet! I just noticed I get WGN, a Chicago station, I'm watching the Hawks play the Ducks. It's weird watching hockey from the states, you can kind of tell it's not that big of a deal, from the production value (and the fact that they talked about football in the intermission). Smokestack Joe
just want to take a moment to give a shout out to MY guys, my hometown guys, Phil Kessel and Joe "The Plover Prince" Pavelski. both are having fine seasons and making a case in the NHL. it would be cool to see them compete in the Cup, Sharks v Bruins. TCP
Yeah man, Bruins are looking really good in the Eastern conference. I really wanted to see Habs do well since it's their centennial and all but then I noticed how fucking obnoxious there fans are. Booo urns. What about the Stars though? Jeeze.I doubt we'll see San Jose in the finals, they're far too good at choking.
tongue-tied lightning
not sure what to say about the Stars. Every year some teams surprise, and some fall.
So Long
Big news around the NHL: Peter Laviolette has been fired from the Hurricanes.* Sean Avery has been suspended indefinitely for referring to his ex-girlfriend as "sloppy seconds"...odd, they could have suspended him for all those late/low hits, but this is the "low blow" they chose. *Interesting fact, I met Laviolette when I was a kid, he was a player for Boston's AHL affiliate Providence. And along with his exit, former Providence Bruins head coach Ron Francis is coming in as an assistant, another person I met about ten years ago.

CrushOfVeils80
I wonder if that's what Elisha told Avery. haha too soon?!? I heard sloppy seconds on ESPN this morning and almost died laughing, I didnt know you could say that on TV, I actually like Avery but STFU dude
So Long
The Stars are #2 on my most hated teams list. The game against the Bruins this year sealed the deal. Avery for this type of shite: Ott for this type of shite: And Mike Ribeiro for costing the Bruins a chance at the cup a few years back:

The Stars have lacked toughness IMHO since they let Hatcher go, someone like Avery was needed

He's a cheap gimmicky player. Ribierio and Ott are the same way, Dallas was doomed when they opted for agitators.
