mfwahl
Have they done this lineup before? I'd be interested to see what Pat does in this configuration (acoustic guitar/piano?)

LouieB
Is Jeff still pushing that vote for Obama crap?? Doesn't he know his fans don't want him talking about politics?? And it certainly isn't any of his business who we want to vote for.... LouieB
myboyblue
It's official - Noon Union Hall "Stripped Down" Wilco http://www.madison.com/wsj/mad/breaking_news/311555 Aren't they sort of preaching to the choir in Madison? They should have headed east to Indiana or something.
imsjry
Aren't they sort of preaching to the choir in Madison? They should have headed east to Indiana or something. It does seem odd. Any people at a Wilco show in Madison most likely don't need a push for Obama. They should play in Oshkosh, WI instead!!
mfwahl
I just found out we get a Jimmy Buffet Concert for Change down here in FLA. WI, want to trade?
KramkonG
I just found out we get a Jimmy Buffet Concert for Change down here in FLA. WI, want to trade? Sorry FLA, no dice. But, throw in a decent opener and we will at least think about it...And regardless, the FLA Concert for Change is probably put on by Buffet fans who want him to change his set-list... delmarkurt
I got a ticket! They are only giving out one per person.... Sat should be fun!
virtualreason
I'm so excited for this. Had to go through the line 3 times to get my friends in--I'm a good friend...waiting in the cold for 90 minutes. Seeing a couple other VCers in line reminded me of the residency (and made me antsy for that announcement!)
indy81
For people who haven't gotten a ticket yet: you need to be UW faculty, student, or staff. The Obama folks take your address and phone number. You pick up the ticket at Will Call - one ticket per ID. At least that's how they were doing it outside Obama HQ this morning. Tanner
I was told you would need to present an ID at the door, too. I had a friend pick one up for me, so I'm going to give it a shot. I'll wear a Wilco shirt with an Obama pin and plead if I must...
virtualreason
I think it is you just need to present an ID, not a UW student ID, to pick up your ticket at will call. And I have heard that the two pick-up locations were doing things differently, ie the Obama HQ was not letting non-students get tix, while those outside the Justice Building allowed everyone to do so. And I have heard that the two pick-up locations were doing things differently, ie the Obama HQ was not letting non-students get tix, while those outside the Justice Building allowed everyone to do so. I think t had to do where the concert is located. Since it is in a UW building they have to set a side x number of tickets for the UW. The percentage is likely higher the non UW tickets. More then likely they ran out of non UW tickets in the morning and the Campaign HQ could only give out UW tickets. Needless to say I gots mine.

indy81
The will call tickets are currently at Obama HQ on Henry St., so if you don't have your ticket in hand yet and want to avoid a big line tomorrow morning, head over and pick yours up.
