watch me fall
I was a little disappointed in the outcome of the Mich-UCLA game because I really wanted to see a Duke-UCLA matchup. But I'll take Duke-Michigan.
IATTBYB
I would gladly take an ass-whippin' from Duke tonight for a Michigan victory over tUoOS tomorrow. But in any event, the Michigan B-ball team looked really good from what I saw last night (admittedly I did not see any of the first half) as the defense was outstanding. I don't recall the Bruins getting many easy looks when it mattered.
watch me fall
Well Duke looked pretty pathetic in the first half of their game against So. Illinois. I think they had 14 turnovers in the first half alone, plus none of their top scorers had even scored. I'm guessing Coach K chewed their asses out at half time because the second half looked more like typical Duke. The game tonight should be fun. That Duke-Michigan 1992 final is still one of my favorite games. I remember being so sick of hearing about the Fab 5.

PigSooie
Ole Miss coach arrested http://www.local12.com/content/breaking_ne...-QU6Qd1wdw.cspx A former University of Cincinnati coach is charged with assaulting a man overnight. Cincinnati Police say 40 year old Andy Kennedy punched 25 year old cab driver Jiddou Mohammed Ould in the face with a closed fist while shouting racial slurs. The assault happened in the 500 block of Walnut Street in Downtown Cincinnati at 1 a.m. The police report states that there was an unrelated witness who saw the incident. Kennedy is charged with misdemeanor assault. He has a court appearance set for 12:30 today but he will not have to appear if an attorney makes an appearance and enters a written plea on his behalf. Kennedy was an assistant coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats basketball team from 2001-2005. During the 2005-06 season when he was named interim head coach after Bob Huggins resigned. He lead the Bearcats to a 21-13 record and an NIT appearance that year. Kennedy is now the head men's basketball coach for the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebels play the Bearcats tonight here in Cincinnati.

MrRain422
Sucks to drop out of the polls, but I still feel pretty good about my Wolverines right now. Easily the best team we've had in 10 years or more.
PigSooie
Eh. I just posted those because this thread's been dead. We all know polls mean nothing right now other than publicity.
cryptique
Eh. I just posted those because this thread's been dead. We all know polls mean nothing right now other than publicity. They mean a bit more than that. In Ann Arbor, for example, a slot in the top 25 helps take our minds off of the 2008 football debacle. It's been far too long since the Wolverines had a decent basketball program. I'm hopeful that this year's team will enable Beilein to lure some top recruits who might otherwise have looked toward East Lansing or Columbus or beyond. A berth in the NCAA tournament would also help.

Moss
I can't figure out what happened to Gonzaga. They looked somewhat unstoppable early on and then fell off the face of the earth. Tickle those twines baaabyyyy!
