Wendy
Thanks Tugmoose! This was a lovely way to begin the morning! Can't wait. (Nice to see/hear a snippet of the Harry Nilsson song again ) How quickly we forgot tugmoose's last thread about Neko's new album. Merged!
Littlebear
The bits of new songs sound awesome. Her voice sounds more sweet, clear and fine with each record. I like it better when she doesn't shout (unless she does it really hard like on "Karoline"). I think she could record anything with that voice. Fortunately, she happens to have fine taste in art and music as well.
Sir Stewart
fine taste in art
tugmoose
How quickly we forgot tugmoose's last thread about Neko's new album. Oops. missed the updates. 4 months is a long time in cyberspace.
Littlebear
Fine taste in art, absolutely.
Sir Stewart
Link?
Analogman
Link? In 1994, Case moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to attend the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. . .In 1998, Case graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. . . In some ways, the cover art is not all that much different than her last two album covers - sort of. What would you do with that as it is now? I am not much of a fan of the white background. I think I would try having her name at the top and the album title at the bottom - using the same font as the word Cougar is displayed in chrome on the car.
Sir Stewart
I'm just turned off by the whole concept, including the pic.
Littlebear
The artwork of her live album is one of the finest of my CD collection. Tasty as Hell. But regarding artworks, it isn't hard to be distinctively tasty in the music world.
Analogman
I'm just turned off by the whole concept, including the pic. It does not do much for me, either. I guess she has given up on the Polaroid art.

Analogman
I suppose I will have a hard time hearing anything from her that could top the first time I heard Furnace Room Lullaby/Canadian Amp/Blacklisted. That is great run of albums.

solace
But... Fox Confessor is as good as them! i'd have to agree... i know i still prefer Blacklisted often, but i think she's continually learning how to make better records and hopefully this one continues the trend. LouieB
Fox confessor is a terrific record..I am surprised we are still having to defend it. LouieB
