Gobias Industries
I'm a man of Barq's, regular Coke, and Dr. Pepper. I drink way too much pop for my own good. Technically it's usually about a can a day, sometimes two or none, but it's something I know I should not be drinking in the first place...
quarter23cd
I drink way too much pop for my own good. Technically it's usually about a can a day, sometimes two or noneHeh. In college, I considered soda to be a "healthy alternative" to everything else I was drinking. Nowadays it is pretty much water and coffee for me.
cryptique
Two months ago I quit drinking Coke........as well as any thing with refined sugars in it. Heavans to Betsy, I feel about a trillion times better. I'm fairly certain refined sugars were making me insane. You may be right -- if not insane, perhaps diabetic. My blood sugar was driven over the edge by sugary soft drinks. Congrats on making such a drastic change. I could never give up the fizzy stuff altogether, so I've been a drinker of diet soda for many years.
mfwahl
Right now I'm on a health kick (fun way to say extremely strict diet). Water and green tea. Yesterday I got a little crazy and had some Earl Grey.
caliber66
General Soda was a great man.I like General Tsoda's chicken. I'm not seeing a huge resemblance to the GD's Steal Your face logo besides the colors, but....Yeah, it's not any more "Grateful Dead-themed" than the previous red & blue Pepsi logo. quarter23cd
I could never give up the fizzy stuff altogether, so I've been a drinker of diet soda for many years.I'm trying to go cold turkey on soda--or at least make it only a very occasional drink. My problem is that I habitually seem to be always drinking something, so if I have soda* around, I tend to drink more of it than I should. (* same with beer, but lets not get too crazy about giving that up) Diet soda seems to give me, ummm, "pooping issues" and/or headaches, so for me it is regular or nothing. I also quit the evil whites........white rice, white bread, white potato, white sugar.....along with any sort of processed foods....and added more fruits, nuts and beans to the diet. I call it the "Caveman Diet". I've lost more than 12 lbs now and wanna lose 12 more........I'm shooting for my age 23 weight. Just call me Mr. Natural.
Good Old Neon
Shortly after cutting out soda entirely several years ago, I came to the realization that it was not so much the flavor that I missed, but the carbonation. So, with the exception of the occasional root beer (Maine Root only - http://www.maineroot.com/index.php), the closest I come to soda is Polar

Good Old Neon
That's the beauty of the La Croix bubble water. Just a slight tint of flavor, no calories, no syrupy shit. Crisp and clean. I'm betting that Polar stuff is very similar. Yes
moxiebean
Although I'm not a big soda drinker I am a big moxie fan (see: username). It's not available in the Southeast so my moxie consumption is limited to when I visit my father in Maine.

cryptique
Yes – this La Croix bubble water you speak of sounds very similar to the seltzer manufactured by the Polar people, only much more hoity toity, pretentious and, dare I say…effeminate? When you girls finally figure out that your fizzy water doesn't need any kind of namby-pamby flavorings, natural or otherwise, let me know. Lammycat
Man, I love Pellegrino but it's pricey. It's excellent stuff. The bubble water shit I get has "Plain" flavor, too, but I like a hint of lemon or lime. You bastard.
Good Old Neon
Actually, I get it for about $5/12-pk. It's less hoity than that Polar dstuff, I bet. I believe "La Croix" means "street urchin" in French. Polar is one step removed from generic store brand, and, has a fucking polar bear on its label

jmacomber68w
I will never understand the entire love fest with diet coke some people have. I get that it is probably WAY better for you than standard cola, but that unique diet cola taste is horrifying to me (though i like moxie...hmmmm) I'm lucky that I don't drink soda too much so when I do I spring for the real stuff Oh, Cream Soda is the king of the roost, though I always forget that it exists so I hardly ever buy it at the grocery store

Rule # 5! Reported! That's not baiting, it's a fact. Pepsi drinkers are oddballs.
Wilco Worshipper
Pepsi drinkers are oddballs.Agreed. I'm a die-hard Diet Coke fan dating a straight Pepsi shooter. Somedays...it gets rough around here

bleedorange
For me, it's Diet Pepsi, iced tea, or coffee for the most part. And anyone that tells me Coke tastes better than Pepsi is just proof that they have been hoodwinked by a masterful marketing campaign over the course of their entire lives. Because it really isn't even close. (Especially the diet versions.)
