dustbowler
What you think? I got that too but am undecided about it so far. I like it. I like the guitar sounds. The organ on the last song is cool. It's kind of got that technorock backbeat but with a little looser trippier feel.

Calexico
This is nice enough but that's about it. I don't really get the mad love for this guy.
lizish
Yeah, I'm also indifferent to Bird's music. But not this:
GtrPlyr
that's the way it's gonna be huh?I thought it was a funny coincidence too. How are those Wrens and One Hundred Dollars 7"? (I love both those bands)
lizish
I thought it was a funny coincidence too. How are those Wrens and One Hundred Dollars 7"? (I love both those bands) Great! The wrens one is this old thing from 1995, but the $100 is brand new. There's a digital coupon thing with the 7", which is good since my turntable is pretty touch and go. First song is about the 14th floor of Princess Margaret Hospital and the second about migrant workers in Leamington. It is worth the $7.00 for $100. I can't wait until they record the 'Black Gold' song about Fort McMurray. I swear they have written an anthem - an bizzarro reply to Four Strong Winds except instead of singing about 'Winds that blow lonely' they sing about VLTs and giant tar sands trucks. I gotta hear it again.

Seeing that Wrens one just makes me impatient for the new one.
