Winston Legthigh
PS.Winston Legthigh, the direction you gave me on how to survive Chicago rush hour probably saved my life. I-294 was mostly clear, until it hooked back up with I-94, when I got stuck for about half an hour. Had I taken I-94 the whole way like I orginally planned, I probably would have missed the whole show. Thanks again!coolness.
bakerian08
Ashland/Bayfield is amazing. Go to Madeline Is (my daughter was named for it), cruise the Apostle Islands. Amazing light houses, the islands are incredible. Lotsa hiking. The South Shore Brewery is awesome. I think my family may be going on summer vacation in Wisconsin next summer, so I'll definitely check those places out, thanks!
Bhickman
I thought he said mulch, band-aids, and baby food. YES! I have to correct that. Live Review is up on Rock & Roll Ghost (thanks for the pics B!) : Milwaukee - Pabst Theater - Wilco - 4/15/09 also got a news item up on the just announced tour : Wilco announce tour for summer

Bhickman
Good - I was wondering why I never ran into a camel while in Milwaukee.

j_web18
Nothing's even close really. The old Expos logo is exactly like it, interlocking letters to form a logo.
H.Stone
The setlist for Night 2 was closer to my heart The same was true for me (Ashamed, Flowers, Casino Queen, Box o' Letters--all songs that evoke great memories of specific moments and places). I thought the setlist for night 2 was fantastic, particularly Hell Is Chrome as an opener and I'm A Wheel as a closer. And then Mountain Bed, She's A Jar... Of course, I think my much-improved seats for night 2 vs. night 1 had a lot to do with my overall impression that night 2 was far superior, too. I had forgotten about the revised jean jacket smell, so thanks for the reminder. And didn't he tag "and baby food" to the end of "Band-aids and mulch"?
felix_1919
I was recording the webcast... so I definitely have that clip at the end. It was weird because if you were wearing headphones, you could hear them unplug the left channel, followed by the infamous comment, and then the right channel goes dead. Definitely not the last sound I expected from the webcast. Haha. i was at the show and have to agree with everyone that it was great. she's a jar has been one i've always wanted to hear them play. do you have a copy of the recorded webcast? i can't find it anywhere. tupeloattheBottleneck
what a great great show. A couple of thoughts. - The Pabst is my new favorite venue.- Are the boys keeping the new songs off their setliststo generate a little buzz? Keep them off of youtube ect ect... cheers
Smokestack Joe
The Pabst is a great venue, they host a bunch of shows and many shows are priced under $20. M Ward is here next week for $15! plus, they just started "No Buck" shows, free shows.......and despite what people think about the beer, $3 Pabst Tall Boys are great! Preferred B
Seconding all the good things said about the Pabst. I love it there. Speaking of the "No Buck" shows, I couldn't believe that they just had The Tallest Man on Earth play there for free. I wish I could have gone.
