lamradio
That looks about like my apartment in Boston was. $1,100 a month in 2001. The only difference between his and mine was my kitchen and bathroom had their own "room". The living area looks about the same size.
Good Old Neon
I could totally live happily there if I were single.
JerseyMike
thats why i moved to Austin (that, and about 1,000 other reasons)...have a whole house with a front porch, campfire pit and picnic table for less than $800 in the heart of South Austin. Dont miss my $1800 small 2 bedroom with no parking at all!

jff
You could probably fit four or five Best Buy vinyl sections in there.

remphish1
You could probably fit four or five Best Buy vinyl sections in there. Hmm more like 26 of them ? They said they would be 8 sq ft per store! The apartment is already sounding big!
isadorah
I didn't watch it with the sound on. 2 questions: where is the bathroom and why put a couch and a bed in there, just have the couch that becomes a bed. then you'd have room for something else like a table with storage in it. I would die a very fast death if I had to live somewhere that small.
tangara
I wouldn't mind living there. I would mind paying $1550 a month for it.
Duck-Billed Catechist
I lived in an apartment that size for a few months. It was $500 including utilities, though. Living there wasn't bad--it was pretty peaceful. Kate and Emily even stayed with me a couple of times.

MattZ
FWIW, you aren't paying $1,550 for 210 sq ft. You are paying $1,550 for 210 sq ft and walking distance to Zabar's, H&H Bagels, Beacon Theatre, Blondie's Wings, Big Nick's Burger Joint, Central Park, the 1 train, Lincoln Center... I can keep going.

The apartment is where you eat occasionally, sleep at night, maybe hang out and watch a little tv, and store your stuff. The city is your backyard, living room, etc. If you don't let go of the sprawl mentality (and comparing apples and oranges re: sq footage and prices) you'll always feel cramped and beaten down.
