MFF0RD9
i personally did not get this from the stage but i took a pic from the guy who did. he said they didn't play monday in the encore you and i with leslie feist
yarbles
Awesome show! The surprise duet with Feist was worth the price of admission alone. Plus, we got gems like Pot Kettle Black, Can't Stand It, Passenger Side, Pick Up the Change, I'm Always In Love, and the killer closing number Outtasite! My only small complaint was I was hoping for another unexpected opener like Via Chicago from Tuesday night, but that's it! Alll in all, it's been an AMAZING week of Wilco shows in southern California. THANK YOU WILCO!!!!
gejarrett
Thanks for the picture of the setlist! They did indeed skip Monday for the second encore. This was the only show I could make on the current tour. It was amazing. I could not believe how long they played, and was especially pleased with the number of YHF songs. The duet with Feist was a nice change of pace, but the song that's stuck in my head tonight after the show is Wilco (the song). Catchy little number that.
Nobody Girl
Jealous that I missed You and I. Does anyone know what Okkervil River played?
taparoo
wow, what a show! It was my first Wilco show and they blew me away. It was great to see Feist sing on You And I. Such an amazing show. And Okkervil River were awesome as well. Mod edit: linking video is against board policy
H.Stone
Wow, what a setlist--plus a surprise appearance by Feist. Fantastic!
Al.Ducts
That is fantastic that Feist made an appearance. I thought "You and I" would be one that was RARELY played live (aside from Tweedy solo shows) but I guess problem solved as long as she can be there!
pnêyu
Feist, schmeist--all hail the guest guitarist on "Spiders"! I couldn't have asked for a more amazing conclusion to the three-night stand in L.A. I love this city.
mpolak21
Feist, schmeist--all hail the guest guitarist on "Spiders"! Who was it? Brion? --Mike
LBmike
Just wanted to thank the Wiltern for handing out some free tickets to the handful of us who waited outside until 10:00 trying to get in. We missed the first third of the show, but got to see the last two thirds (for free!). They were floor tickets too. I've been to hundreds of concerts, and I've never heard of a venue handing out free tickets like this. Outtasite!
Guest Jules
awesome setlist. Wow.
gopokes
They didn't do Handshake Drugs. I thought that was pretty much a guarantee.....
pathfire
That is a helluva setlist
itstillmoves84
That is a helluva setlist Gosh people are proactive! Here's the duet. So beautiful. Sound is a little loud. But great video quality. EDIT: linking video is against board policy
jtrollmann
I thought Pomona was a great show, but this final Wiltern night blew me away. Jeff was in a playfully talkative mood with the audience, conversing back and forth with the crowd about clapping to show appreciation instead of saying "thank you," after each song. I was cracking up!!!

I was cracking up!!! Looks like the setlist is kind of set though...with the exception of PKB/You & I/Outtasite, I'm not too bummed I ended up having to miss this one. Pomona & Wiltern night 1 hit most of the big ones I wanted to see. But then again, seeing You & I would be great...
patrickhayes
Feist, schmeist--all hail the guest guitarist on "Spiders"! Who was this? IF it was Jon Brion thats just badass stacked on badass
taparoo
Who was this? IF it was Jon Brion thats just badass stacked on badassI don't remember seeing someone else on stage with them. Maybe he's talking about when Tweedy let someone up front in the crowd play the riff.
Preferred B
Ha. No, there were no guests on stage for Spiders. I think JB was out of town. Bobb Bruno did lend a percussion hand at the end of the night, though!
lost highway
Mod edit: linking video is against board policy For those interested this is easily found on the Youtube. Although be warned, the stage presence of Feist can be dangerously adorable and charismatic.
H.Stone
Feist, schmeist--all hail the guest guitarist on "Spiders"! Leave it to LA to bring out a person's inner rock star. What I would have given to have provided backing tambourine...
sandyriz
I'm kinda wondering why no one has mentioned anything about the vibe of Wilco doing a show in LA on the day Michael Jackson died. Did they say anything? Do anything? What was the crowd like? Oblivious to it?

Did they say anything? Do anything? What was the crowd like? Oblivious to it?I hate these questions, because I don't understand why people now expect every performer to say something about MJ next chance they get. I would bet a large sum that Jeff and co. never met Michael, so it's not like there was a personal connection, or anything. If it was a big deal to Jeff, he would have said something. Contrary to current popular belief, Michael Jackson's death is not all that's going on in the world. I'm sure Jeff will acknowledge that it's sad, but is it really necessary to publicly comment? With Jay, I understand the need to hear Jeff comment, but MJ? It seems strange to me.

With Jay, I understand the need to hear Jeff comment, but MJ? It seems strange to me. i went into the show hoping they would do an MJ jam or at least acknowledge his passing, but they did nothing of the sort. personally, i think they missed an opportunity seeing as how they were in town when it happened, but in fairness i don't know them as a band that well to criticize their setlist/cover song choices. this was just my third wilco show, well 2.25 because i only saw a quarter of their bonnaroo set. the only thing that jeff said that seemed to hint towards it was during an audience participation portion - clapping lesson - he said (not verbatim) "i don't need to tell you all the reasons why clapping is important right now" in sort of a somber tone. maybe not saying anything was their way of saying something? Shakespeare In The Alley
I just have a problem with people expecting something from someone like Jeff, in regards to something like MJ passing. Like I said, expecting a statement on Jay is reasonable. He still doesn't have to give one, but there's clearly a relationship there that the fans will be curious about. Maybe he doesn't really care? I think it's a damn tragedy that he died the way he did, and I think much of MJ's life was a tragedy, but I'm very tired of hearing about MJ. If Jeff wasn't a fan of the man or the music, why must he say something because it's what people are doing? Basically, if they had said something, I'd think it was a nice touch, and that it's cool that Jeff has such a public forum for his "mourning." But they didn't say anything, and that's quite alright too. Am I the only one thinking this?
