gopokes
Kingsbury Manx opened at Cain's in the fall of '05. That was the first and last I ever heard of them.......
augurus
Low were terrible, which was a shame. Deerhoof was terrible also, also a shame. My vote for the best two opening acts...Andrew Bird and Califone.Great opening act that sounded horrible due to bad sound...Nora O'Connor at the Rave.Loudest opener ever...Rosehill Drive in Ashville. LouieB
The band that was supposed to open started with an M, I think? That's all I remember. the M's did open for Wilco at the Vic one time. LouieB
k8tee
I don't think Hem has been mentioned yet. Opened Saratoga show in 2004. Weird venue -- a smelly gym at Skidmore.
motorhome
the Mother Hips opened a string of shows in the south, late '95. Opened again in December 2001 in Denver.
Mr. Heartbreak
didn't see the show, but i've got a poster that says Elf Power opened for Wilco. I saw one of those shows. Elf Power closed their set with Brian Eno's Needles In The Camel's Eye, I believe. It was pretty kickass. Here's an obscure one from 2002: Damon & Naomi (?)
