hinko
Hello everyone,Does anyone know if all the seating will be reserved for the Wilco shows at Red Rocks? It seems last time (I had to back out and not attend) GA seats were in rows 2-24 and then 60 up, reserved in between? Wondered if the more expensive tickets are reserved and others GA? Anyone have any info, I've never been there. Thanks!Steve

hinko
I didn't think Red Rocks ever did reserved... They did last time because I remember having 2 reserved and 2 GA tix. They also have 2 ticket prices this time. I found the following on the Red Rocks site... The seat rows are numbered bottom to top 1 through 70. Rows for General Admission and Reserved Seating vary from show to show. Your seat number is located on the brown tag on the front of your seat. Please assist us in getting everyone seated as quickly as possible by making sure you are in the correct seat. Seats are numbered right to left facing the stage (lower number to the right higher number on the left). PLEASE NOTE: Rows 1 & 70 are always reserved for handicap seating at Red Rocks. Magnetized
Yes, but it also says (under FAQ): I bought General Admission tickets but they have a row and seat number on them—what's up with that?General Admission is exactly that—first come, first seated. The row and seat numbers on GA tickets are just a form of tracking - like a serial number. Just disregard them and enjoy wherever you end up sitting. But don't forget: take up just one seat so that there is room for everyone. This is why I'm confused, 'cause I saw the same thing you posted as well, Hinko. Unfortunately, there's probably no way to figure this out completely before tickets go on sale tomorrow, so I guess it's just going to be taking the leap of faith. My friend and I are in for the package deal, and hopefully there won't be any hiccups getting that. Yowzah! Always wanted to go to Red Rocks, and I can't think of anything much more blissful than this.

hinko
It says you will get the pre-sale password when you sign up, I signed-up long ago. Are we going to need a password for this one? Thanks
Shug
I got row 32 for night #1 and row 28 for night #2. Reserved were the $50 tix. No password needed, just logged in to my account at wilco.frontgatetickets.com I decided to go reserved so I don't have to wait in line. Seats are pretty much in the middle of the row, I'm pretty happy with these tix. Hope everyone else got what they wanted.
hinko
I got reserved both nights. Keep trying if you haven't gotten them, it's 11:35 now. Keep trying, they are still coming up on Friday on occasion. I've gotten them as late as an hour after sale time.
Moss
Red Rocks does change every time. For most shows the general admission is up front, roughly rows 1 - 24. Then you have a large reserved section in the middle. Then it becomes general admission in the back again. Either way, I got row 25 seats 55 - 58 for night 2! Didn't get night #1 but will try for those tomorrow.
Magnetized
For anyone interested, the package deal is still available, and for anyone traveling in from out of town who needs to book lodging, I think it's a good deal. GA tix for 2 people, both nights, 2 nights at a great hotel, transportation to and from the venue both nights, 2 posters, 2 t-shirts, and a few other little goodies. They are doing the presale--it started today at noon.

What's the soundboard viewing area, though? Should be interesting - I'm bringing our oldest offspring to see his drum god for his final single digit birthday! His head almost popped off when I told him tonight LOL! We were going to take him along to Solid Sound this year and make a vacation out of it until we found out it wasn't going to be a full-on festival. It will be his 2nd and 3rd Wilco shows and his first plane trip!
Moss
What's the soundboard viewing area, though? There is a roped off area where the soundboard is, around row 15 or something. Pretty nice seats as you are sitting next to the soundboard (not behind it or anything). It's nice and roomy typically as they don't usually pack people in there. Plenty of room to dance. hinko
Do you guys think both shows will sell out?. I can't remember if they played one or two nights last time.

Lammycat
RedI didn't think Red Rocks ever did reserved...Red Rocks always has reserved seating, usually in the middle starting first row and going to a few rows behind the soundboard. I don't think I've ever bought a reserved ticket at RR before and have never had a problem with sight lines and/or sound.
opsopcopolis
^ It's definitely not always reserved. I was there last year for the Umphrey's show and it was 100% GA other than the roped off VIP area. Seems like the kind of place that is works well being all GA

My husband can't get out of working that Friday - his boss' wife is apparently due to have a baby the day before and they guy would rather hang with his new family than work. Go figure. I'm tentatively bringing my 9 year old, but he's on my shit list right now and has 1 week to show me that he really wants to go with some good behavior. Ugh.
