-seven
Actually, this is how I found Wilco. We went to see Paul Westerberg in Grant Park in '96 and Wilco was on right before him. I had heard them a little bit when a co-worker played AM so we went early and have been following ever since.

zebra
I saw Grizzly Bear open for Wilco a few years back. Now I am a big fan of their music. I also saw The Ditty Bops because my sister had an extra ticket, having no idea who they were; good stuff.
Mr. Heartbreak
Paul Weller.I know I have told this story before, but I just saw his name in a random thread on here, and knew nothing about him or his music. Forgot all about seeing the name, but my subconscious mind apparently remembered it, because I had a dream weeks (or months) later in which I was buying some music by Paul Weller. Woke up and was intrigued enough by that weird experience to go on Amazon and look for him. Ordered a used copy of Wildwood, and once I got that I eventually ended up buying just about everything he has released, including the Style Council box set!
