Sir Stewart
The promotional campaign for this album is among my favorites ever. So caught up in it. And finally, it's close to coming out. Anyone else ready?
Winston Legthigh
Yes.
NoJ
Love the Daft Punk!
Wild Frank
I saw the single off the album last night. A great track. Nile Rodgers on guitar and, I think, the chap from N.E.R.D on vocals.
Sir Stewart
Whole thing is streaming for free on iTunes now. It's interesting!
bigideas
Best Buy has it for $7.99 with coupon.I have heard a few songs on Sirius XMU - the single, Panda Bear, Julian C tracks.Nothing sounds outstanding. I have their debut. I like several songs, but once it gets past the 4 min mark of repeating, I get bored. At $7.99 though, I almost just want to give it a go.
Moss
I'm actually thinking of driving an hour away to get the free mask that goes with the purchase of the CD. I'm sure they will be gone by the time i can get out of work and get there but it would looks sweet on my band room wall.

Sir Stewart
From Record Store Day's FB page: All RSD stores had the option of getting them, but they don't get them (the mask) directly from us, so we don't have a list. Best to ask the stores nearest you if they are participating next Tuesday.
jff
To my knowledge, I've never heard a single second of this band's music, but they have been inescapable in the last couple of weeks. This isn't EDM is it? If so, I'll pass, although NIle Rodgers's involvement has me intrigued.
LouieB
This is the album of the week. The PR is everywhere. LouieB
TLF18
not into "EDM" and had never heard a Daft Punk album.... but man I'm LOVING this new one.
bigideas
Ok. I heard the same 3 songs again on Sirius XMU today, but I got to hear them through my TV sound system and from beginning to end.I enjoyed them a lot more.I am going to get this for $7.99 at Best Buy, and The National album. I have a feeling The National's album is going to be kinda morose and I won't want to listen, but we'll see.
LouieB
There is a review in the New Yorker this week of this album and I can't tell from the article if it is good or bad. Weird. LouieB
bleedorange
I'm not sure if I dislike this album or it just isn't what I wanted this album to be.
lamradio
The only song I really don't like is "Touch". Just think they went a little overboard with it...
suites
I am enjoying it (at least 1/2 of the songs). Puts a big smile on my face. Get Lucky is song of at least the summer if not the year. Just infectious really, best since Hey Ya.

Just infectious really, best since Hey Ya.It's funny you mention that one. I was listening at work and thought I heard "Who brought the Mexican" over and over in a robotic voice which I thought odd and perhaps a bit racist. It's at about the 3:28 mark. I'm actually not sure what he is saying there although I think it's "we're up all night again" or something. Maybe it's just me. I'm really liking this. Has a great contemporary 70's vibe whatever the hell that means.

Moss
"We're up all night to get lucky" ok
Sir Stewart
The robots don't complete the line. So it's just "We're up all night to get." I can understand hearing "who brought the Mexican" - my wife thought the chorus was "We're up on Mexican donkeys."This song is pretty good, but it's not the best track on the album by a long shot. El Picador
I'm the guy who doesn't like this record. At all. I tried twice and had to turn it off. What is it that is go great? Seriously, so bad I removed it from my Ipod.
lamradio
What is it that is go great? It's not supposed to be great, at least for me. Its fun, it's refreshing, sort of in a novelty type of way. It's porno music from the future. Not to be taken too seriously. Good, playful, nod your head music.
