uncool2pillow
Is the Stooges the band with the old guy with his shirt off yelling and stuff? Listening to his appearance on the Marc Maron podcast. He showed up shirtless for that. http://www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episodes/episode_400_-_iggy_pop

tinnitus photography
Kiedis is the one who gets in altercations with security. Iffy is the one who likes Jif.
tinnitus photography
I thought about it today on my bike ride, and the odds are pretty high of non-gay male musicians, given enough unprotected sex and time, will become involved in the dad rock movement.

You know, I've noticed a common trait amongst those who throw that insult around - they tend to be douchebags. I'm 43. I've been playing and listening to music obsessively since I was a kid. I've seen more shows of more genres than most, and I've been a Wilco fan (and U.T. before that) since my mid-twenties. At 39 I became a father and now it's "dad rock"? Sorry, but Fuck Directly Off. Guest Jules
As silly as the label is, it's just as silly to be upset by it.
Lammycat
Is "cesspool rat" really any better, though?
twoshedsjackson
As silly as the label is, it's just as silly to be upset by it.Not upset. Annoyed. I reserve the right to be annoyed when something that's a huge part of my life is denigrated by morons. I don't lose any sleep over it, but I'll call someone out on it if they use that term. Well said twoshedsjackson.... A sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but you may never know just how surly it was. Thanks Joe.

Sounds like someone's a little sensitive about being a dad-rocker. You'll feel a lot better once you accept it, bro.

Self-loathing?
caliber66
I can think of a lot of reasons why a 37 year old Wilco fan would use that term. I don't think I hate myself, but self awareness has never really been my forte.
