NPR is now streaming Songs: Ohia's Magnolia Electric Co. (10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) and I can't stop listening to the demos. Particularly the demo of Farewell Transmission, the song that turned me on to Jason Molina's music.

Thanks for that.  I threw on my headphones on the way to work and heard her sing "jjjjegar"  (instead of llegar) and went, "I just said she was Chileno that's dumb, she sounds like an Aregentine".

"Simple Again" might be one of those songs that makes me wistfully sigh every time I hear it, like when I'm 80 even.

The new RS review for Eminems record talks about aging hip hop stars trying to figure out "what to do with their dad ass selves." Then says "its like hip hop is the new Wilco or something". Damn dad rock label.
