Moss
This is really a selfish way for me to find some of those gems I missed this year. I don't care if someone wants to post "Get Lucky" but I'm really looking for some of those somewhat overlooked songs that you loved this year. Loved this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nSuTSyymvU

lamradio
Hey can you tell me what that Lady Gaga is? Is that a band... or a soda, or a store, or one of those terms like "donkey punch?" Is it a douche? Is Lady Gaga a douche? Well, whatever it is, I don't like it.
Moss
You are clearly not one of Gaga's "little monsters". Good stuff so far, is the rest of that Lee Renaldo good? I may have to dig into that one more. And the typhoon.

Moss
I have developed a soft spot for Wrecking Ball due only to this: That's funny. Some great stuff here and exactly what I'm looking for. That Janelle Monae is something special. Not the type of music I really ever give much of a chance but it's so damn good.
lamradio
You are clearly not one of Gaga's "little monsters". Sorry to get goofy in your thread. The Lady Gaga bit was a quote from a Family Guy episode. I don't think I can really point out single best songs of 2013. I'm more of an album guy. Some really good albums this year overall, all with several great songs. http://viachicago.org/topic/49297-2013-in-records-so-far/?view=findpost&p=1537293
Sir Stewart
That Janelle Monae is something special. Not the type of music I really ever give much of a chance but it's so damn good. Check the album out - lots of great tunes on there.
jff
Some of my faves from this year are: Deerhunter: Back to the MiddleCate Le Bon: I think I Knew (Kinf od a bizarre song. The melody reminds me of Asian music, which is odd coming from a Welsh singer.)Hospitality: I Miss Your Bones (technically a 2014 song, but released as a teaser)Charles Bradley: HurricaineSome of the Tunes on the Fuzz album are killers, but I don't know their song titles. virtualreason
These all involve the same women, but their voices are too good to pass up. The first two are songs from the Lucius LP (I go back and forth between which song I like more). The third is from San Fermin. Again, the harmonies, ugh. Very reminiscent of the Dirty Projectors women. Lucius - Wildewomanhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej1xxCuWhXc Lucius - Hey Doreenhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hDrjjS8JnU San Fermin - Sonsickhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1czCNnPyHlw

Really reminds you what a freaking great guitar player he is.
