Winston Legthigh
Am watching this show via chromecast this afternoon: 4/27/77. Capitol Theater. It's supposed to be a full show, but there were some annoying jump cuts in looks like rain. So far...

NoJ
I think I paid $25 to see them (the core four) in 98 and 2001(?).
winterland121072
I guess i'd pay $250 to see them in chicago....but >$1K to see Wilco without Tweedy (or the core fore)? wow....
Lammycat
$250 per show? That's still a lot of dough.
IRememberDBoon
I don't care for post Brent Dead and definitely not post Jerry but these shows might be fun ONLY because Trey and Hornsby and both drummers are playing.I wouldn't want to be anywhere other than that front pit, or maybe some lower level side seats............otherwise count me out. Been there, done that sort of thing.............One thing is for sure. There will be some fun positive energy when they hit the stage with all the lead up to the shows. calvino
Each of my tickets end up being $129.00 each --- my ticket is in Section 242 --- it's seat 15 --- so it should be right by Section 241 (according how the seat numbers go). So, I am hoping the view won't be too obstructed, because 241 isn't listed as being not obstructed at all. My friends who got mail order tickets are still waiting for their seat assignments, which I am guessing nobody who is getting their tickets via mail order knows their locations, yet---guessing when that happens, even more tickets will flood the markets. Of course that should mean that prices will drop - will see.

Mr. Heartbreak
This looks like it could be significantly better than the Soldier Field shows: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/grateful-dead-members-more-booked-for-jerry-garcia-tribute-show-20150305
jw harding
That is one of those tribute shows where each act plays a song or two, then they have to set up the stage for the next band. Not a fun live concert experience, but ok to watch on tv. I've seen the Levon Helm and Greg Allman tributes. Don Was produced both of those as well. Some ok moments, some duds. Overall kind of ok. Won't come anywhere near the potential the Soldier Field shows hold. Haven't seen the Mavis Staples one yet, but reviews for that were not positive. With so many acts, there's not going to be much if any jamming, they've got to stick to a schedule. Would not be a fun show to be on any mind altering chemicals.
Mr. Heartbreak
Would not be a fun show to be on any mind altering chemicals. That's probably why I would enjoy it more: haven't had any of those since 1989.

Mr. Heartbreak
Oh my. If it is anything like the Mavis show DW put on...don't go! Wait for the tv show. The Mavis thing was so hard to watch.Don Was put that on too? That's hilarious! People on here complained about it for days afterwards. I'm in Florida, so I'm not going anyway, but that is really funny... Still, at least it's not in a football stadium. I am, in all earnestness, happy for people who are planning to enjoy the Soldier Field events...but I wouldn't go anywhere near them. Even if I lived in Chicago, I wouldn't go. I would not assume it's a guaranteed clusterfuck just because of Don Was. He has done a few of these, and the one he just did for Emmylou got a very nice writeup: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jan/11/stars-light-up-dc-stage-for-emmylou-harris-tribute/
