lost highway
I think at this point I don't want to hear or read anymore arguments for or against "dad rock". I kind of just want to ignore those words and see if they'll go away.

TCP
http://drownedinsound.com/releases/19591/reviews/4150362 "Wilco's worst album"Ahh, I hate music reviews. It's so subjective. Sky Blue Sky was the worst Wilco album? Get real Dan Lucas.
lost highway
Well at least his perspective allows for some heavy praise of both new and old entries into the catalog. But I strongly disagree. What does David Fricke say in the iattbyh doc? If you don't get it, then that's just kind of too bad.
lost highway
Nice: " Therein sits the fascination of “Schmilco,” a record of reckless grace, deceptive tension and what Tweedy has termed “joyously negative” music." Passenger Sid
Both Stereogum and Rolling Stone think Tweedy's lyrics reference Trump...."We Aren't The World" (Stereogum thinks he's singing about a "tough-guy" candidate like Reagan or Trump) and "Cry All Day" (Rolling Stone thinks the liberal Tweedy is singing about Trump supporters). I've listened to the record many times and NEVER thought of ANY political candidate. Now maybe I will. Crap. Thanks critics. (Not.)
