TCP
Assuming bands can tour by mid summer - early fall, I think next year is going to be stacked. I imagine there was a bunch of bands who had albums to go in 2020 that sat on them till they can tour the records, plus I imagine a lot of songwriters/bands have a lot of new material after sitting at home for 9 months and counting. Plus everyone who last dropped albums in 2018/2019 and are due for new ones in 2021. I'll think about my list but.... After last night's Courtney Barnett stream, I'm very excited for her next album. The new songs were feeling pretty finished, I have to imagine her next album is basically ready. Do we think Andy Shauf is going to have a new album already??? Please tell me you've heard rumours! Yaz Rock
Ben Kweller's first album since 2012 comes out on New Year's Day (technically it is out already but physical copy is due on NYD). I'm expecting a quiet year otherwise, most all my favorite bands released albums in 2020. Since all those bands couldn't tour behind their new albums, I wonder if they'll wait 'til touring resumes to release any follow-ups.

u2roolz
Crowded House - Dreamers Are Waiting due in late March. Very strange to see them having tour dates in early 2021 in Europe & Australia/New Zealand, but I understand why. Neil Finn said that they plan on filming at least one show for promo purposes, if they try to tour the States in late summer like he mentioned during one recent FB Q & A. I can’t see that happening. Definitely a bucket list band.

Passenger Sid
Another Michael, a trio from Philadelphia, just released "New Music and Big Pop". Folky. Breezy. Fresh-sounding. 10 tracks run 35 minutes. Really great to these ears.
Passenger Sid
Dry Cleaning's "New Long Leg" is a keeper.

You got the last one Bootikins? Really like "I Hurtle Back to a Conservative Locker" from that one too.
Boss_Tweedy
I'm intrigued by Son Volt's forthcoming album based on how this sounds.
Yaz Rock
Solid new albums recently out from Trapper Schoepp, Mdou Moctar, and Jay Gonzalez (of the Drive By Truckers). I also enjoyed the Foo Fighters' Medicine at Midnight much more than their past few albums.
lost highway
I'm starting to think a new Wilco this year is unlikely as they're still working on it and it's June, but who knows? Maybe a winter release if we're lucky. New Sleater Kinney just might redeem them in my eyes. I'm a long-time fan and really lost interest with their recent turn. Which is odd because I like St. Vincent. The new Teenage Fanclub is so good. In pop land, Billy Eilish might wind up with an interesting album. I heard the new Lorde single yesterday and it's terrible.
