Maybe or maybe not on Flash, but, Uum, hello? Batman and Robin. Duh. And Aquaman. Definitely Aquaman. EDIT: Looking a little farther into Wikipedia (yeah, I know. Not that reliable.) I found this juicy little tid-bit for any Justice League/Superfriends fans. On February 22, 2007, Warner Bros. hired Kieran Mulroney and Michelle Mulroney to write a treatment for a potential Justice League movie. No announcement was made on the characters, actors, or crew involved.[4] They handed in their script by June that year.[5] In September, word broke that Warner Brothers, incredibly happy with the Mu

Huh. Huh huh. You said 'fudge.' Huh-huh-huh.

Well, they did call him "Headmaster."

D'oh! I didn't read the first question all the way through. Instead of saying "Yes I'll Vote" I should have said I'd vote for the Democratic version of the turd sandwich. It usually all boils down to Supreme Court choices... the court is starting to lean way conservative, and even the relatively-liberal Guilliani would nominate a conservative judge. It's my usual tie breaker.

What's on the white T-shirt? I don't think I've seen that one before.

I hate to be the one to say it, but I can't believe that nobody has entertained the possibility that this could mean that one of the current members of Wilco could be on their way out. I'm not saying I want that, or that it's inevitible, but there is a weeeeee bit of a history for such an occurence. I hope I'm wrong though.

You want to marry BOTH of his sisters?!!?! Don't be gettin' greedy now! Sheesh.

Fantastic book version of Varnedoe's Carnegie lecture series given a few months before his death. Covers the history of abstract art from Pollock to the present.

It pisses me off that they aren't teaching fundamentals more than the everyone wins thing. At 7 - whatever - but come 8 it's time to play for keeps. Well, as long as the coaches aren't treating it like they're in the major leagues. Your point about learning to lose (as well as win) with pride and dignity is definitely the key. I've seen more than a few rogue coaches in my day and they're rather disgusting. And also probably the reason for the "everybody wins" league. EDIT: For how long does the we all bat and win stuff go on for? Until they're 8? 9? 15? If it's one year that might not be the -
Slightly off-topic, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread for children's book movie adaptations. Where the Wild Things Are

Just in case you're still working on it: Question - Old 97's I Will Follow You Into the Dark - Death Cab for Cutie But I do rather like the all-Wilco list that A-man came up with. Lends some cohesiveness to it that way with one only band.

It seems that the intent of the list is really that some albums get too much praise. These albums are good, but enough already. That was definitely their point on the Aretha album. I was surprised that Nirvana's Nevermind wasn't on there. I love it, but there does seem to be a bit of hyperbole surrounding it. As well as Bullocks - influential, but not really all that good.

False. As for what bugs me, it isn't so much one topic as it is the way that we are handling the topics. More and more we turn to name calling and doing anything we can to prove our theory correct, whether it is or not. I guess that could be blamed on the talk radio shows (conserv. & lib.), but that seems too easy of a scapegoat. Until we can look for truth and not uphold our ideological purity, we will get nowhere with any of the previously mentioned topics. Especially Loony Tunes. -
There. Fixed it for ya' St. G!

Wow. Just... wow. Quite the train wreck this little thread. What's the over/under on how many posts before TDW is back? None of it matters anyway. We'll all probably be crazy-ass Scientologists or worshiping Elvis in 500 years anyway. [Ducks under table.] -

I was just goofin' on ikol. He always claims the independent role, but is always there to tow the GOP party line. Not trying to be mean about it. I just get a chuckle from him being a registered independent, like he'd be there in the voting booth in Nov of '08 asking himself, 'Hmm. Should I vote for Hillary or Romney? This is a hard one. Oooo! I know! I think I've got a coin in my pocket.' -
I will say that due to the current regime I have a whole new respect (not necessarily a love of, though) for Ronnie. Even he wouldn't have gone into Iraq. He understood the importance of a strong military as a deterrent. And the best way to keep it as a deterrent is to not use it, just build it up. I would have liked a little less building up back then, but now I get his point. That and I now understand that ketchup is a vegetable.

The new signatures are here! The new signatures are here! It's attention like this that's going to get me places! Several people in this thread talked about the doom and gloom aspect to the environmental movement being so off-putting, not to mention your hardcore conservatives and "independents" who just aren't going to ever be on board with it. It's time for an alternative message. Not only can you save money by being "green," you can make money by using cost-saving alternatives (don't call it eco-friendly, they'll never buy it) in your business or jump on the eco bandwagon and embrace t -

I did too. We got some free ones a few years back from the DWP and tried to put them in and had a hard finding a light fixture they'd fit in, and when we finally did the damn thing was so dim it was a joke. Well, fortunately they've got them a bit more fine tuned now. They're way smaller so they'll fit in most lights quite easily, and once warmed up (which takes about 10-15 seconds) are just as good as a regular bulb. Plus, they last for over 10 years. If you're getting them go for a wattage above what your light suggests - seems like they overstate their light output. And don't get some off-b -

As usual, I'm very late to the party and this one is giving me a headache before I even get to the Kool Aid. No, I'm not going to read the whole thread, but I'll put in my .02 anyway. Look, you can all call each other and each other's religions all the names you want but it doesn't change a few FACTS that none of us can really work around. 1) Forget global warming for a minute. The real problem is overpopulation. The number of humans is supposed to DOUBLE in the next 50 or so years... which it won't because we can't possibly sustain that many people. Even if climate change were BS we still
