yep, I heard it, but I didn't really want to admit I watched the Bionic Woman. The show pretty much sucks.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth! Very few people can match your quick reaction to thought with such creative elements. You seem to be able to grasp a situation without any mental labour. This is because Mercury and Venus work very harmoniously together in an artistic and communicative fashion. You like to keep busy and sometimes lose sight of the motivation behind all your hustle and bustle. It's most essential for you to keep your activities at a moderate pace and eat and rest regularly, even if you aren't too tired or hungry. The reason for this is that Mercury can exhaust your nervous energ

that's the understatement of the decade. Not meaning to hijack -- what Kate's doing is showing up on the front lines of a fundamental and philosophical battle. At some point our elected leaders are going to have to start listening to something besides their own wallets.

feel free to align your priorities however you wish, that's how I feel about it.

I agree w/Whitty's assessment of the Orlando style ambience, but damned if it isn't better than dinner at Sheetz sometimes!

Go get em Kate. Interesting how Bush thinks $100M is too much to spent to provide basic health care for kids, but $500M isn't enough to destroy a country and try to glue the pieces back together. Viva la revolucion!!!

I think the news that there are no homosexuals in Iran is going to come as a surprise to, well, alot of homosexuals in Iran. -
I DO buy good candy of course -- ya never know. I've been all lurky, trying to develop good study habits, which I'm pretty sure are not conducive to much VC-ing, at least in my case. So far it's working pretty well. It's okay for me to disappear, but the rest of you need to keep up with your regular posting so I don't have to worry about you.

I am one day away from completing the fall ritual of hauling of a cord of firewood -- first up the hill, then up the stairs. I've been working on it almost every day for the last 3 weeks or so -- I think I'm actually going to miss this activity. Can't wait to be sitting in front of the woodstove, curled up with a book, a cuppa tea, fountain pen and notebook. In the forties at night, seventies in the day -- that's my idea of perfect weather. The next stage in the battle against upstate winter begins this week -- insulating my almost entirely uninsulated 100 year old house. Fall

I've got some. But the best piece is probably the email I just got from my daughter saying YHF is the best CD ever. It only took several years to sink in.

I'll never forget driving through your neck of the woods and thinking "damn! he's not making this stuff up!"

I would have left one of my kids home at 11 without any sweat -- the other one, no way. So it's entirely subjective, and a judgement call to be made by the parents. I know if my kids at that age had been in their fathers' custody and had been left alone that long, I would have been mighty pissed. And I'm willing to bet a judge would see it the same way, particularly when there's a serious health concern. The way the kids feel about the situation has alot of bearing in court too.
