  1. Is David Stern supplying microfiber balls to the NFL now?
  2. Thanks for your input, Skippy. You always make such helpful and thoughtful contributions to any thread.
  3. I happen to know that Jeff Tweedy will be in the Chicago area on March 3rd. Extrapolate from that what you will.
  4. It wouldn't, actually, but whatever.
  5. I believe the Stars did go on to win that game in a shootout, so Stefan's teammates picked him up.
  6. Those are awesome names. Well done.
  7. I agree. Though he is also the author of some of the worst lyrics in history. For example: I am, I said To no one there And no one heard at all Not even the chair
  8. Welcome qualifies as seriously weird, but the rest aren't all that odd. I knew two guys named Theron when I was a kid. I believe they were both Greek.
  9. I don't know that I've ever done this as an adult. When I was 16 or 17, we had a short-lived art theater in the basement of a downtown hotel that ran midnight shows on weekends, and I saw Stop Making Sense there several times with friends. That was probably the last time -- circa 1985 or so.
  10. The great HST aside, I'm not a fan of Hunter as a name ... or Tanner, Austin, Madison, or any of the other yuppie-cutesy names that have been in vogue for the last decade or so. But that's just me.
  11. I'm never having kids, but if I did, they would all be named "Ed." Or maybe "Al."
  12. Amen. Although for me, it's a large external drive stuffed with audio files, Winamp, and a good set of headphones. I listen to music at work much more than at home these days -- usually in full-album chunks.
  13. oh dear god. how will i ever go on. please say it is not so. etc.
  14. I do love a good spanking of Notre Dame.
  15. I still haven't found an Odwalla I actually like. There's always something about them that tastes ... I don't know ... off -- at least to me. Don't think I've had a Naked product yet.
  16. I can certainly live with this version. The only thing I miss is that the upgrade didn't insert the extra blank line at the top of quoted messages by default like this version does. Of course, if that's something that actually bothers me, I obviously need some other hobbies.
  17. That's why "Born in the '50s" always cracked me up. Alternate response: He should play Indiana Jones' brother in the new film.
  18. I thought ...Nothing Like the Sun was a decent record (except for that awful "Little Wing" cover). After that one, though ... not so much. I did like that live thing -- Bring On The Night. I remember seeing a fair amount of footage of Sting and Copeland not getting along, some of which centered around Sting's complaints that Copeland was always speeding songs up when they played live.
