  1. IMDb lists a working title of Indiana Jones and the Ravages of Time.
  2. River Phoenix wasn't in that -- he was in Last Crusade. I'd forgotten about that TV show.
  3. But River Phoenix is dead.
  4. My thoughts exactly. There aren't many bands for whom I'll break down and go to a large arena (or stadium) show. I've been to exactly one of those in the past eight or nine years (CSNY) and I probably wouldn't have gone to that if it weren't such a good ticket (second row, thanks Wendy!). As much as I love the first three Police albums, I doubt I'll be seeing them anywhere that a sports team plays.
  5. I never saw them live, but from the footage and recordings I've heard, they never seemed like that great of a live band. I'd be interested in a new record, maybe, but I doubt I'd pay top dollar to see them play.
  6. Saban's leaving the Dolphins to coach the Tide. Wow. I really didn't think that would happen.
  7. Yeah, I'll almost always cheer for the Big Ten over the SEC (though, as noted above, I'm actually a Gator fan -- it's all my brother's fault). As much as I'd like to see the Big Ten outperform the SEC, though, I simply cannot cheer for Notre Dame under any circumstances. To modify an old saying ... I have two favorite teams: Michigan, and whoever's playing Notre Dame.
  8. Particularly painful for me to say because I'm a Gator fan. However, come Bowl season, I do tend to cheer for the Big Ten -- even those coddamned Buckeyes.
  9. You do know that shit's addictive, right?
  10. I thought pretty much the same thing after Control.
  11. Hmmm ... I count 4-3 with two games to play? They'll probably end up 5-4 -- I see LSU beating ND and UF losing to OSU.
  12. Yes, yes it was. In fact, I'm not quite sure how Kate Capshaw can live with herself after that piece of shit. Last Crusade was a bit better, but still not worthy of the standard set by Raiders of the Lost Ark.
  13. I did very little. Which is pretty much what I do even when VC is open for business, except with less of the reading and posting and stuff.
  14. Hopefully they'll get a boatload of guff from other admins experiencing similar problems, and that'll force 'em to fix their crap software.
  15. Saw "Casino Royale" today. It's easily the best non-Connery Bond film, and it's better than many (most?) of the Connery ones. Probably makes my top three. I love this darker, more serious take on Bond. I also think that despite all the bitching and complaining being done back when he was announced as the new man, Daniel Craig is perfect for the role. Anyone else seen it yet?
  16. Hilarious -- I think I once referred to Michael Bay as the Thomas Kinkade of movie directors.
  17. It's been a while since I saw that so maybe I'm not remembering it correctly, but wasn't it an old Silvertone or Danelectro or something? The Silvertone I'm thinking of looks like this:
  18. Hopper, probably. Though I love a lot of Pollock's paintings.
  19. Very little -- comparatively, anyway. My parents tend to go overboard with the prezzies. I'm 38 years old. I don't need all this stuff.
  20. Already gone. The Wikipedia gatekeepers clearly have nothing better to do on Thanksgiving.
  21. People heard I had recently joined and wanted to bask in my awesomeness.
  22. As for me, along with the stuff I posted in the other thread, I am also thankful that I finally seem to have found a new chiropractor that I like. It may not sound like much, but this is going to end up being very important.
