Have you heard The Complete John Peel Sessions? I listened to that for the first time this week. I do loves me some JAMC.

I think you'll be able to listen to that all you want and still honor the intent.
-
Whazzit? Hope you like that.

Glad to see we're dealing with the truly important issues this morning. Apparently the Cards blew 3-1 leads in '68 and '85. I don't see that happening this year.

Oh, it's been BOUGHTEN.

I know how to pronounce the name of Duke's basketball coach, but I always say "Kroo-juh-WOO-ski" anyway.

I answered truthfully (I think), but this is mostly bullshit: You scored as A classic novel. Almost everyone showers praise upon you for your depth and enduring relevance. According to your acolytes, everything you say is timeless, erudite and meaningful. Of course, none of them actually listen to you. Nobody listens to you at all, but it's fashionable to claim you as a friend. Fond of obscure words, antiquated notions and libraries, you never have a problem finding someone to hang out with. The fact that they end up using you to balance their kitchen tables is an unfortunate side effec

Are you ready for some football?
cryptique replied to watch me fall's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Seriously. Whoever loses that game (assuming they're both still undefeated beforehand) will have one loss to either the # 1 or # 2 team in the country. Texas is probably the only other team that would be able to make that claim, and they got crushed by OSU, as I recall. -
Yeah, I have to say, that ruled.

...unless he played for the Steelers. Or the Ravens. -
So, Duran Duran are responsible for the '80s? That's not a compliment.

Unreleased album that Buckingham finished and presented to his label back around 2001, only to be persuaded to shelve the album and re-join Fleetwood Mac. A bunch of the songs from this album were then re-recorded for the subsequent Fleetwood Mac album. I pulled this down (lossless) off of one of the torrent sites a while back -- it's reportedly straight from the CD that Buckingham submitted to the label, and the sound is terrific. Plus, it's a pretty good album to boot.

Why do you hate Wilco?

It's not really that happy of a song.

Limbaugh thinks people with distasteful diseases should stay home so nobody has to see them. ...which reminds me of this classic: "If you've become a radiation mutant with a deformed hand, remember to close the window. No one wants to see that shit."

Whom, exactly, have they influenced? I never could stand 'em.

That Partridge Family theme song. "Come On Get Happy" or whatever it was. WAAAAAAYYY too happy for my taste.

Huh. So apparently Jeter is overrated.

When I was really young, I watched Casper the Friendly Ghost once or twice. That's all I got. Oh, and Goober and the Ghost Chasers. Wait, no. I never saw that, but my friend had the lunchbox.
-
YES. That was the first thing I thought of! I tried to find that yesterday but wasn't having any luck.

All of my favorite guitar work on that record is Duane Allman's. Cream ruled, but Clapton still wouldn't be my pick. Or even in my top 5.

Before you kill him, you should see if you can set him up with Ann Coulter.
