Sweet! Glad that worked out. It was douchebaggery for them to swipe it, but I definitely give them credit for being gracious in fixing it.

I'd like to get Gaylord Perry's input on this.

"Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Engineer's Demos" Analysis?

Do other people's copies of this have skips and pops in a lot of the songs? My copy is particularly bad on "Never Let You Down," which sounds like a CD is getting eaten. Then "Venus Stop the Train" cuts off early. I downloaded this in FLAC from Oink. Is there a better version out there? -
I'm not seeing it. Shaq's not getting any younger, you know. They'll be damn good, and in the end you may be right, but they're falling back toward the rest of the pack in my estimation.

Don't just let them steamroll you. Contact them, quote the relevant portion of the Creative Commons license, and insist that they live up to their obligations (no manipulation, a credit for you).

Jeff: (thinking) "These guys aren't forming a very good circle."

I'm cheering against the Tigers, but I think the poop-hand is a non-issue. If Rogers had sucked from the second inning on, I'd think differently -- but he was masterful without the doody, so, "meh."

Are you ready for some football?

Ay, there's the rub... As good as this Michigan team is, I have to admit that I'm not too optimistic about their chances in Columbus. What I'd love to see (but probably won't happen) is the rest of the undefeated teams all lose a game or two. That way, the loser of the U-M/OSU battle could possibly still be # 2 in the BCS (after all, their only defeat would be to the # 1 or # 2 team in the country) and we could have a rematch for the national championship game. I want to reiterate, however, my opinion that the BCS is retarded. -
I have two things to say: 1. Indian food rules. 2. This thread has expired. Time for someone to perform the Monday morning ritual.

I'm underwhelmed.

I also have to put in a vote for this guy.

Michigan is up to # 2 in the BCS! ...by, like, two one-thousandths of a point... -
The Greens aren't good for much of anything. They like to complain about how evil the main two parties are, and they like to start arguments. As a political force, they're utterly useless. Or rather, they're worse than useless, because they help Republicans get elected. I'm an independent who will keep on voting Democrat until a true liberal party emerges as a viable -- and electable -- alternative (and my money says that it won't be the Greens).

"Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Engineer's Demos" Analysis?

If any of you snatched this in FLAC off of Oink, can you re-open a window for it? The one seed disappeared and there are five people sitting at 83.6%. Thanks! edit: all done now, and I'll continue seeding for a bit. Thanks to the original seeder! -
If you have so little invested in this thread, why do you keep showing up? Easy to see why.

I already stated my opinion (Hendrix), but I don't understand how this thread could possibly have reached three pages without anyone mentioning either Richard Thompson or Leo Kottke.

Dude, if you're going to go off like a three-year-old on a tantrum every time someone makes a sideways comment about Georgie W. Bush, you're going to bust an artery. Chill. The. Fuck. Out. Also: You really, really didn't get the point of what tugmoose was trying to say. The idea was that Bush should see for himself what's really going on over there. Not a quick, twelve-hour stopover, not a trip to make speeches or do anything to "raise his approval rating" -- just go and see the desperate and violent hellhole he created through his arrogant and misguided exercise in warfare, and try to under

OK, it's me then. Thanks. (Dammit, I hate troubleshooting.)

Is it just me, or are the animated emoticons not working? It's probably my security settings ... need to figure those out. I recently installed ZoneAlarm Pro. edit: OK, it's weird. Some of them work, and some of them don't. The most common animated emoticons that display in the "Clickable Smilies" window when I'm typing a message don't work, but if I click the "Show All" link, the ones that aren't in that window all seem to work. Anyone else seeing this, or do I need to keep looking through my security settings? These currently don't work for me:

They already did get rid of illegal defense, for the most part. They loosened up the rules and it gets called a hell of a lot less often these days. My initial response to your message was going to be this:

I think Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, INXS, Queen, and the Doors (of the 21st Century) should tour together.
