  1. I'm just going to assume that's very funny, despite not being able to see it due to my employer's web filter. Going with that assumption ...
  2. Thanks to Papelbon, I now have clear skin, a longer penis, and a vastly improved memory.
  3. Hints: YP = You People FM = Fucking Morons S = Stop SS = Stupid Shit P = Please
  4. --> QUOTE(Paul B @ Jul 25 2006, 01:02 PM) How can one resist the ridiculous nature of the D's sonic attack? It's quite easy, actually.
  5. One of my favorites from their early years. My former roommate's band covered that back in college.
  6. Heck, I went to Grinnell College, and about seven times out of ten when someone asked me where I'd gone to school and I told them, they'd look and confused and say "Cornell?" Grinnell has no desire to be confused with Cornell University, however. They do just fine on their own.
  7. Yes, you made that clear already:
  8. I bought this even though I have the original CDs of both, hoping that the remaster is worth it (sounds pretty good so far). It's a no-frills reissue -- no extra tracks on either disc. The only extra at all is a video for "Not Turning Off" that's on the "Telephono" disc. No additional liner notes, no enhanced album art, nothing. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised -- Britt Daniel hasn't had much nice to say about "Telephono" in recent years. I'm amazed it ever got reissued at all. The packaging is OK -- a cardboard sleeve into which the two cardboard CD packages fit. Here's shots of min
  9. In my completely inexpert opinion, bathrooms should not be carpeted. One bad toilet overflow and you're going to wish you hadn't.
  10. Not to muddy the waters, but you have to remember that until quite recently, any talk of "Lebanon" as a sovereign nation had to include mention of Syria, who actually ran the place. I have no idea what the transition was like when Syria loosened its grip -- but it's at least somewhat possible that Hezbollah's power in the region is greater than that of the new Lebanese government. Isn't Hezbollah largely supported by Syria? Anyone know more about this? I'm curious. I mean, if the Lebanese government is truly independent of Syria now (I don't suspect they're completely independent, but stil
  11. This is not an "article," it's an opinion piece. Dershowitz is hardly an unbiased commentator on this issue. I'm not saying that what he writes should be discounted ... just that you should get both sides of the story if you really want "perspective."
  12. Fuck, people, enough with the leftwing/rightwing stuff. That's how this shit gets so bad in the first place. I try not to take a side on this, because there's plenty of stupid shit being done on both sides. Hezbollah and the Palestinians need to stop using terrorism to strike back at their oppressor. Israel needs to stop acting like an oppressor. Which came first? Who started it? WHO GIVES A FUCK, JUST STOP IT. It's an endlessly repeating cycle of violence between two cultures that don't want to compromise. Until someone or something manages to change the mindsets on both sides, the violen
  13. Stephen A. Smith should be next. What a fucking moron. And whoever employs Bill Walton these days needs to fire him. Whoops, sorry, not baseball-related.
  14. I saw them for free in 1990 opening for De La Soul in my college's gymnasium.
  15. The Royal Tenenbaums > Reeling In the Years > Peg > Bottle Rocket > Life Aquatic > Hey Nineteen I'm guessing Dupree would be at the far right end of all that, but I haven't seen it (and probably won't).
