  1. Well, that's how it would be in the real world. But for the purpose of jamming all 26 letters into one short sentence, it's The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Important stuff, this.
  2. Boy, you're gonna catch some shit from Ryan Jefferson Starship Double Album Adams.
  3. Isn't it quick brown fox jumps? And I don't remember the dog being red.
  4. Probably twenty, twenty-five years ago there was some old hag sitting behind home plate at Shea who would rotate her arms in the motion of a football ref's illegal procedure call every time the opposing pitcher wound up. Of course, it never had the slightest effect on the pitcher, but that didn't stop me from wanting to fly to New York and gut her with a rusty fillet knife.
  5. In Michigan, you can turn left on red from a two-way street as long as you're turning onto a one-way street.

  7. It's "your," but whatever. You're changing the subject. We're not talking about the Red Sox and Yankees always being on TV -- something that pisses me off too. We're talking about the first-ever comeback from a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series, which just happened to occur in a series involving the Yankees and Red Sox. If it had happened between the Rockies and Padres, I'd still consider it to be both the most amazing comeback and the most amazing choke in baseball history, and one that is unlikely to be topped in the future. You're only arguing about this because you're sick of the Sox
  8. "Git R Done," or whatever the preferred spelling is. This is just the tip of the iceberg for a really huge peeve of mine, which is the widespread glorification of human stupidity, and in particular, male stupidity. The Stupid Guy seems to be the dominant figure in advertising right now, and that has trickled into the rest of pop culture as well. Our culture is doing everything it can to lower the bar, and I'm not sure there's any stopping it.
  9. This, from the guy who's beaten more baseball topics into the ground than any five other people on this board.
  10. Nobody claimed it was the greatest moment in baseball history. But I agree with Lammycat that it was the greatest comeback and greatest choke in baseball history, and there's unlikely to ever be one quite like it. Yankees blow a three-games-to-none lead in a League Championship Series to their most bitter rivals, who then break an 86-year World Series championship drought ... can you seriously offer anything that competes with that?
  11. 1. Snickers 2. Heath 3. Baby Ruth 4. Payday 5. Butterfinger
  12. Nice! Though I would have had "Do You Love Me Now?" on that list somewhere.
  13. I'd love to, because he's a Yankee. However, I'd have a hard time finding any good evidence to back up that argument, so I'll pass.
  14. Definitely count me in on that one. Getting peeved about that is an everyday occurrence for me.
  15. This is a big one for me too. I am very respectful of cyclists on the road, but when one rides right through a stop sign I feel like running him down.
  16. People who talk on their cell phones at work. People who leave their cell phones on at work in the first place, so their stupid fucking ringtones go off again and again. People who talk on their cell phones at restaurants, movies, stores, or pretty much anywhere that's near me. I really don't want to hear half of your conversation. Ever.
  17. That was Eric Stratton, rush chairman, and he was damn glad to meet you.
  18. That's right, I forgot it was being reissued! I still don't own any Dualdiscs, but I might need to pick up this and Darklands ... though the original CD releases don't sound too bad.
  19. Or the clap that's going around the Yankees.
