Someone tell Wilco not to take the camel to Sly's house.
-
I think the idea was not that albums are mixed on shitty speakers, but that at some point during the process, some producers check their work on shitty speakers to make sure it sounds good on those, too.
-
Possibly, but my guess is that the stream is a forced response to the leak.

Incorrect. If this is the mistaken impression you've been operating on all these years, you've been seriously missing out.

Don't see it on wilcoworld anywhere.

OK, a minor thing, but is anyone else hearing the melody of "On and On and On" in "I'll Fight"?

I sure was sad to hear of the end of Oar Folkjokeopus. Didn't that guy open another store in the same space, though?

And your point would be? It's no big deal if someone doesn't like the cover -- it's subjective, blah blah blah. I don't care ... hate on it all you want. However, while you may not have directly attacked anyone, the manner in which you expressed your opinion carried an implied attack against those who liked the cover. It also prejudged the music based on the cover alone, which was, let's face it, extremely ridiculous. When you drop an "opinion" like that in a thread like this, you shouldn't be surprised when you're challenged on it. If you'd merely said "I hate the cover," no one would h

I have absolutely no problem with people not liking the cover. I fully understand why some people don't like the cover. What I have a problem with is nonsense like this: These "opinions" say nothing about the cover, but a lot about you. You're entitled to your opinion, but the reason people have responded to it is because it is, to borrow your phrase, "hipster bullshit." You're judging the music by the cover, and sorry, but that's hipster bullshit. You're attempting to denigrate the band, based on a cover you don't like, by comparing them to other bands you don't like. That's the
