can't you just be quiet and enjoy it? how about everybody not post in this thread for a little while, it'll be really cool, i promise.

Dave Matthews Band probably owes more to Carter Beauford than to Dave Matthews. Very talented, though I think Glenn is better. Glenn is endlessly inventive and can do plenty with a stripped down set, while Beauford has about the biggest set available, is amazing at it, but doesn't really show as much versatility. Glenn is definately one of my favorite drummers, though overall he's more of a percussive/orchestral component to the band. Works great for Wilco, but when I want to hear simple and soulful rock n roll drumming, my favorites are Ringo and Steven Drozd from the Flaming Lips.

since louieb mentioned the hideout in a different thread: http://www.hideoutchicago.com/index.html your picture is about 3/4ths the way down.

yeah i was quick to finish, and i used the small screen too because i was afraid entering full screen would start it all over again. i'm not ashamed.

i enjoy the lifeless studio version, the only thing that didn't translate is that Jeff seems to whack away at the guitar during the solo ending, while the studio version washes away. kindof somber, yes, but also breathtaking. besides, the whole guitar into oblivion thing happens during Handshake drugs, we don't want them repeating themselves, do we? oh well, there's my defense for a song i rarely listen to, at least it's got me listening to it again.

woah, was i first to finish here?

so you had your hand in editing pitchfork, this should give you some level of hipsterness once unimagined.

Leroy, stay just like that. The camera loves you. The camera loves all of you. This is it everyone, ready? Leroy: Jeff: John: Glenn: :sound of camera shutter:

I hear that Matt Damon gets shot.

i always took it as a joke though, he often doesn't have the most interesting parts, so he hams it up a little bit. i find the "i'm a wheel" routine hilarious. as for Bennett, my only real gripe with him is his production philosophy, which i think hindered Summerteeth's potential. other than that i think he's okay to great in the several roles he put himself in. i'm sure it was fun to see him bring the rock back in the day, and my only problem with that would be the attention grabbing that some see in Sansone.

many bands stream their music, this is the first i've heard of a streamed movie

i don't want to be to over the top of a fan, but Tweedy's guitar solos are some of the few that get a huge response out of me. Jack White also gets quite a bit out of just a guitar. Nels has never failed to puzzle me in some new way at a Wilco show of how the hell he's producing some sound or another, and I've stood near him at every show, kindof accidentally, but never regretfully. and finally, i'd say Link Wray is pretty amazing. i have a hard time rating musicians, technical ability is boring, it's all about the feeling, mannnnn.

maybe they'll have a rolling stone cover with the words "The Best Rock Band Of All Time" on it, but i don't think they're going to be multiplatinum anytime soon.

Lots of Grandaddy over the weekend, and now:

So now Jay isn't better than Nels, but better than Wilco?
