  1. here's something to keep your kids on the straight and narrow http://www.eveningservice.com/Video
  2. and to keep it short my most played as of late is anything off of: Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity The Kinks - Muswell Hillbillies Super Furry Animals - Love Kraft The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers Jim O'Rourke - Insignificance, Bad Timing, and others
  3. i'll give you both. i haven't looked at my iTunes for playcounts in a long long time, and i find the results hilarious, here is the MOST PLAYED EVER with some commentary: 1) Float On - Modest Mouse - GNFPWLBN maybe why i've been burnt out on MM for awhile now, much more proof later 2) Kicking Television - Wilco - A Ghost Is Born EP #1 Wilco song! I like it a lot, but something seems off. It makes me feel a little better to know I've listened to a full 2 minutes more of Spiders than KT, though not nearly as many times. 3) Easy - The Beta Band - Heroes to Zeroes 4) Panthers - Jeff Twee
  4. it is one of the few exceptional performances in the film, and a great song.
  5. i have agreed with John Stirratt's statements about every album and every era of Wilco entirely, so the fact he's "over the moon" has sent my anticipation levels past the exosphere, and it's only January. dammit.
  6. ...or free to listen to from the label. Link
  7. Is that the thanks I get? and My words and No More Poetry
  8. Deerhoof: Friend Opportunity I could only get through bits and pieces of Runners Four, but after one listen of Friend Opportunity, I think i'll have to revisit it, I think I just might be a Deerhoof fan now.
  9. the difference is that some people get fired from wilco, but leroy helped to create two of their best records, said his job was done, and rode off into the sunset. that's class.
  10. aw shucks, i loved what i heard when they played on Conan, and was excited to hear the recorded version. oh well, as long as Walken is on there.
  11. the new stuff doesn't surprise me at all, which is a little disappointing, but it sounds about as catchy as the first one.
  12. when you get back, tell us what drama unfolds these next few months and what the new lineup is. you are coming back, right?
  13. is it bad that my gut reaction to "five easy pieces" was "U2 gone retarded"? and/or that i liked it?
  14. i found a tiny little cd of his called "rules of reduction" for $9 yesterday, but left it in the rack for a legal copy of Bad Timing, i figured Bad Timing in the hand was worth more than mystery-music-i-don't-even-know-i-could-get-to-play in the rack. it's not like i'll never see another copy in my life and regret it forever, all for an album actually called "bad timing", no less.
  15. meh. float on was a deserved hit, this is 'okay'. though i have quite a few of their albums, i don't listen to much MM, minus the summer where good news was in my car. the strings here are throwing me off, and brock too, his voice isn't his bitter-insane self and the lyrics i can make out are pretty dull. not awful though.
  16. I expect some people to eat their words. Ha!
