The prospect of a Geddy/Rush stamp is a little scary. Imagine the 70s satin jumpsuit camel toe. I actually bought a pkg of the Paul Anka/Anne Murray/Gordon Lightfoot/Joni Mitchell set the other day. I couldn't resist. Still, Neil Young/Leonard Cohen/Joni Mitchell/The Band would have been infinitely cooler.

Polly's vet once remarked that most pugs have "people names." You rarely meet a pug named Prince or Rover. 1) I organized a union at my last job and quit the day after. 2) My grandfather was born in Iowa. 3) I have never watched an entire episode of the Simpsons all the way through.

Today, I'm thankful for strong coffee and dark clothes that hide stains. Also, in no particular order: snow on the mountains sushi night (Vancouver version of burrito night) universal health care organized labour those little bags of Thinsations cookies all the amazing musicians I've had the privilege to see over the years campfires maple syrup wild salmon and, of course, my friends, my little family, my crazy pug (is there any other kind?), and especially my LO.
