  1. It appears that my library is getting in the boot business - they had a CD copy of Waits performance from the Auditorium Theatre, Chicago, IL, USA on August 9, 2006 - the only time I was saw him perform. I have a copy on my hard drive - though I am not sure if its the same source, since I haven't listened to it in awhile, though it probably is. Finally got around to watch the Letterman bit - good tune, great interview. It was weird having Clooney in the immediate background.
  2. She may become the power, someday --- congrats!
  3. Forgot that you mentioned that a while ago ----- didn't realize (or forgot) about Weir's and his wife's history, either. Enjoyed the performance with the National - good stuff.
  4. I looked through the book that came with the 72 set and the pic wasn't in that - plus all the shots in the book, they had colder weather clothes on, which makes sense since the 72 tour was during spring. Perhaps the pic was from 74 or 71, when they were in Europe. Or perhaps it was the only warm and sunny day during the 72 tour...
  5. It looked like the same house to me, too --- I thought the doc was great. I feel for Trixie Garcia, but not sure she was needed in the film. Bit of footage and pictures I never seen before - which was cool -- esp. the picture where Garcia and Weir are walking away from the camera in a large crowd, towards a large, grand building - it looked like that they were walking in a European street. The scuba diving footage was pretty cool, too. The bits about Weir's family were nice too - the whole real father getting in the picture.
  6. As I stated earlier it's Craft Beer Week in Chicago -- my local establishment did decide to participate and is offering tours of there Barrel Room and tasting beer straight from the barrel this Sunday - their barrel-aged Shadow of the Moon won gold this year - so it might be nice sample that straight from the barrel. Last time I will mention Scratch - this is what they are offering up at Wells Park - wish I could make up there this weekend.
  7. I listened to a new Indigo Girls song this morning on Spotify - it was quite beautiful too. Nice piano.
  8. Well that would have been mean. I remember my dog that I had at the time kept barking at it --- that may have contributed to the issue, also.
  9. I had a dog that it was impossible to cut her nails, even the vet and a groomer couldn't do it - the vet said we would have to knock her out in order to do -- so we never wanted to do that. She had to go through a procedure where she had to get knocked out -- we told the vet to cut the nails while she was out - and the vet forgot to do it. Guinea pigs were all the rage in my neighborhood while I was growing up -- I wanted one, but after taking care of my neighbors for week - I changed my mind, they pooped too much.
  10. Been flipping through Billy's book -- one interesting bit was that Jerry paid Billy the same wage as he did Kidd (I think that was the roadie who helped during the session or it could have been Ramrod) for the 'Garcia' record. He was happy that he did receive some songwriting credits -- probably still collects a bit for the Wheel. Overall the book seems like the typical auto-bio rock book --- which means not much depth.
  11. Just the three Chicago Dead shows --- man - I don't go to shows at all anymore....
  12. Thought it was good, though. One of the better tunes on the record.
  13. The Rolling Stones Under My Thumb Moonlight Mile Tumbling Dice Stray Cat Blues Let's Spend the Night Together Stones' Covers Time is on my Side Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) She Said Yeah Little Red Rooster It's All Over Now
  14. When I read your list - I was thinking you missed Under My Thumb. Undercover is a great tune, though ---- I always think of the Atlantic City version, though - when Mick knocked over his mike - love hearing the crack/thump of the guitar on the mic. Great video, too.
  15. Wonder if they are allowing 'open' audio taping -- I guess, I wouldn't be surprise if they didn't - it is definitely one those shows produced for a DVD release commercial purpose.
  16. I would be happy if the Sunday Chicago show consisted of: 1st Set Playin>The Other One 2nd Set Eyes>Dark Star Encore: Terrapin>Sugar Magnolia (for Uncle Bo-Bo)
  17. Also, read that the taper of the shows, is a girl --- take that Mr. Heartbreak ---- I kid, I kid....
  18. That's cool - I only noticed them on Dime - didn't realize that Rush was allowed on bt.etree.org --- looks like the same sources on etree, too.
  19. Have anyone listened to any of the recent shows -- I haven't downloaded any of them yet.
  20. Just got an email, the above will be the next Garcia release--- only have "Pure Jerry: Lunt-Fontanne, The Best Of The Rest", from this run -- which I haven't listened to in awhile.

  22. The first time I saw Wilco was when they opened for REM during their Up tour, down in St. Louis. Summerteeth is still my favorite. I was able to catch some Tweedy solo shows at Lounge Ax where he played some Summerteeth tunes prior to its record release -- I was amazed to hear the studio versions when the record came out.
