  1. Congrats to the Stirratt's. Their child will share a birthday with me if he or she is born tommorrow. Hope all goes well. --Mike
  2. Jesus, etc. was written by Jay and Jeff right at the end of the Foxtrot sessions and there's a good possiblity there was never an alternate version mixed. I've never heard of a demo of Radio Cure either, it was likely finished towards the end as well. Don't know for sure though, maybe a third disc of these sessions will eventually surface, they certainly have the material for it. --Mike
  3. The album, along with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, which saved me from classic rock and later just saved me period. --Mike
  4. I don't really care for him either. --Mike
  5. Is there a stratedy to this that I am just missing? Edit: All right I think I've got this figured out finally I am getting comparable with a three year old and I can live with that. --Mike

  8. Me too, I'd speculate it's still more listenable than Squeeze (the album the VU made without Lou Reed) --Mike
  9. This version is a particular favorite of mine, I wish they would still play it like it is on the album and have the two or three minute outro with the piano stuff. Those are often highlights from the shows of that era. --Mike
  10. Compared to what usually gets played on the radio it's Metal Machine Music, even though this was a college station. Anyway I still think it's pretty cool story. --Mike
  11. Excellent pics Donna, thanks for sharing --Mike
  12. What a great win! It reminded me of WVU's comeback win on Louisville last year, looks like the entire state of New Jersey is enjoying a long overdue victory. And I think my future wife in the picture above is pretty happy as well tonight. --Mike
  13. I sent you a PM with the YSI links Enjoy. --Mike
  14. So...how's Rutgers grad school program? --Mike
  15. It's been a pain in the ass all night, but I should be able to get it here finally in a couple of minutes. --Mike
  16. PM on the way, I'm upping it to YSI. --Mike
  17. There will never be another one quite like this. Mo Tucker might be my favorite drummer of all time that isn't named Glenn. --Mike
  18. I am getting kind of bored of threads where people bitch about the setlist, can't we talk about the drone or whether or not Jim O'Rourke ruins records again? --Mike
  19. Thanks for hooking me up with all the great shows and feeding my Jon Brion addiction, hope you had a great one --Mike
  20. I think the songs on Ghost actually sound better on the record but I am in the silent minority likely with the exception of Jim O'Rourke probably. --Mike
  21. Well... Louisville is a really good team. Mike there all yours next week knock them off so we could still get a BCS bid all right. --Mike
