  2. Real strings would be nice on that one, but it's a bit of a clunker hopefully it'll come off a bit better in the studio. --Mike
  3. That's a good idea I think I'm going to pull that one out too. --Mike
  4. Did I miss the mention of Lullaby in the article? . Anyway great article I can't wait to hear Sky Blue Sky and You Are My Face and it looks like they aren't going to go with Walken as a song title. --Mike
  5. The next 20 hours are going to be pretty nerve wracking, I was at the game last year when WVU rallied from 17 down to win in triple overtime and I am hoping the mental edge might carry over for this year, but Louisville doesn't lose at home and WVU has yet to be pushed in a game for four quarters. It'll be interesting, it's the biggest game WVU has been in since the 1993 Sugar Bowl disaster they went into that game undeafeated and number 3 in the nation and got dropped 41-7 by Flordia. After the game Erric Rhett famously said "West Virginia is a Vanderbilt level team with all due respect to Va

    New song mp3

Thanks so much OTM . I have to say after putting this on repeat and hearing it about 4-5 times this is probably my new song. Outside of Wreckroom from the Loose Fur album, it's my favorite Tweedy composition of the year, I think. I hope this one sticks around. --Mike
  7. Full band version from 2002-2003 back when it was the "arena rock" version would get my vote. --Mike
  8. Here's a worth bump look just what got upped to Dime http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=118380/ I am going to be all over this when I get home this evening. --Mike
  9. I am turning 21 that day. So that's simply not going to happen, though I think I have a card to play if I get drug to something involving karoke. --Mike
  10. People have written USC off, despite the fact that they have yet to lose and play their toughest remaining games Cal and Notre Dame at home where they never lose. They also tend to never lose on the road, and very rarely in bowl games. Anyway, as a Mountaineer fan, I am pulling for them to drop one of those, so we can go on to get our asses handed to us in the national champsionship game against the Michigan/OSU winner. Yet I could live with finishing undefeated getting a bowl oponent we might be able to run with and finishing undeafeated and second in the nation. However before this even beco
  11. I am sure that the bugs in the system aren't going to be there forever, this DVD was just realeased two days ago. And besides eventually everyone is probably going to be able to access the download site, just like everyone can get the More Like The Moon EP for free now. --Mike
  12. I agree, Summerteeth is a loaded album and one of the best of the nineties. But if it had been mixed a little sparser and maybe had a couple tunes knocked off, it would be one of the greatest albums ever made. There are sometimes where Bennett's production is spot on, like She's a Jar, In a Future Age, A Shot in the Arm, Pieholden Suite, but there are certainly moments were it's a little overcooked. Yet in Bennett's defense there were two guys making all the overdubs and I have a hard time believing he snuck into the studio and added forty keyboard tracks without Tweedy knowing what was up. It
  13. Annuals: Be He Me. This is pretty interesting. --Mike
  14. Here's is a great feature on him that Under The Radar did in June of 2003. http://www.undertheradarmag.com/es.html I couldn't find the Spin piece that they ran after Basement came out which focused on his death, when I am home this weekend, I'll try to pull out that back issue and transcribe it. It's quite good. --Mike

  16. I hadn't heard that Tweedy and Farrar were on good terms, as of last year Farrar obviously still had a few axes to grind remember the Relix interview? --Mike
  17. I think what was implied in that statement was that Elliott was getting off drugs and that was the cause of him getting his life back together. He was going through a lot of heavy stuff (he was alledgely abused by his stepfather) and for awhile in his final months it seemed he was going to pull through, but we all know how it turned out. --Mike
  18. I was in the computer lab for a class and typically was messing around on the internet rather then doing my French homework and saw it, I think it was the day after. I was pretty gutted, as I'd just gotten him that year and was really looking forward to hearing the album that became Basement. He's one of the most talented song-writers and musicians of my lifetime. --Mike
  19. I like Scott quite a bit. Down with Wilco is one of my favorite records, and I really like In Rock and the Gun Album as well (I am still getting all of his stuff). I am a fan of the Young Fresh Fellows as well. --Mike
  20. I am in total agreement. There are times I put on Foxtrot, Ghost and Kicking TV and just listen to Kotche's parts. Ken Coomer was a pretty solid drummer, but bringing Glenn was the best desicion of the band ever made. --Mike
  21. Earlier today followed by naturally... Now I am going to fire up Jeff Tweedy Feb. 4, 2006 McDonald Theatre Eugene, Oregon. --Mike
  22. Wow that was amazing. Great to see Scott making an apparance though I was a little bummed they didn't show Scott, Glenn and Jeff doing The Family Gardener, though I knew that one wasn't on the tracklist. But it was a fantastic film. Excellent idea steaming it from the website tonight, thanks to the Wilcoworld HQ. --Mike
  23. Excellent points all around sir, great post. That was me being a yes man I guess, but it's sincere. --Mike
