  1. Yeah he might have, I can't remember if that was the amp or the guitar that he ended up knocking around. In one of the DVD Volumes (number one 2002 Rockaplast). He throws one of Jazzmasters at the amp, which had been cutting out, though it looked like neither the guitar or the roadie who was standing in the path of the afforementioned guitar were injured. --Mike
  2. I can't thank you enough for making this available guys, Chandler excellent job with the taping, and thanks to all of those who helped set this wonderful event up. On two listens this has already assended to my favorite Tweedy boot category. to all. --Mike
  3. I've been thinking of picking up a new keyboard myself recently, I have a realtively cheap Casio CTK-700, I'm finally getting good enough at it, that I feel comfortable going out and getting something a little better. I've heard a lot of good things about the Casio Priva as well. --Mike
  4. Looks like one of Charles Harris' from the Chapel Hill shows 3/5 and 3/6 2006. --Mike
  5. Yeah he plays that one on Jesus etc. on the Soundstage DVD from 2003, so I think he's had that one or one like it for awhile. --Mike
  6. I second that Thanks for all the great work Rob. --Mike
  7. Yeah I am not sure he ever topped that and The Wild The Innocent, The E Street Shuffle. Some of the Seeger sessions sound pretty interesting though. --Mike
  8. If it doesn't end up on the bit torrent tracker I am sure a tree will be set up so it can be distributed. I am sure it will be well worth the wait. --Mike
  9. This is the best news I've heard all day. --Mike
  10. I am listening to the first night of that set right now actually, excellent show another one from that time period worth looking into. The two closing shows of that leg 11-9 (St. Louis) and 11-10 Iowa City are great though the sources have a few skips in them. I apologize since you were looking for one or two to start out with and have ended up with like ten suggestions . --Mike
  11. It's pretty hard to go wrong with anything from that time frame in my humble opinion. The 10/19/2002 Boston show is pretty incredible as is the Gibson Rooftop show from Memphis from 10/30. There's a SBD from the 11/2/2002 Tampa show that is solid quality as well. And if you're looking to trade any of those late 2002 shows for more stuff, shoot me a PM. --Mike
  12. Close your eyes and go to sleep, baby Take your head off your feet, honey Cause you've been working hard and I know you're tired You been trying hard not to think I'm a liar What's the world got in store? What's the world got in store for you? What's the world got in store for you now? Come on baby somehow, I need you Do I have to show you how, baby? I'm not trying to knock you out Or was it about I just know you need your rest But I can't say what's best for you You've been working hard and I know you're tired I've been trying hard not to feel like a liar What's the world got in st
  13. You can grab the regular demos as MP3's on a website called the grotto, they have a massive mp3 section. They aren't particularly thrilled with Wilco fans coming on to request MP3's, but there's no reason you can't grab what's already up. You have to register first but after that you can download it through this link http://www.the-grotto.com/talk/thread.jsp?...3&message=16194. Don't have the Engineers handy but I am sure someone will up it. --Mike
  14. Looks like you have the More Like the Moon EP along with most of the tracks from the regular demo sessions. --Mike
  15. Genuine Day will come When the wind Decides to run And shakes the stairs That stab the wall And turns the page In a future age Some trees will bend And some will fall But then again So will us all Lets turn our prayers Into outrageous dares And mark our page In a future age High above The sea of cars And barking dogs In fenced-in yards --Mike
  16. A diamond necklace played the pawn Hand in hand some drummed along, oh To a handsome man and baton A blind class aristocracy Back through the opera glass you see The pit and the pendulum drawn Columnated ruins domino Canvass the town and brush the backdrop Are you sleeping? Hung velvet overtaken me Dim chandelier awaken me To a song dissolved in the dawn The music hall a costly bow The music all is lost for now To a muted trumperter swan Columnated ruins domino Canvass the town and brush the backdrop Are you sleeping, brother john? Dove nested towers the hour was Strike the street quic

  19. Good morning to you I hope you're feeling better baby Thinking of me while you are far away Counting the days until they set you free again Writing this letter hoping you're okay Saved you the room you used to stay in every Sunday The one that is warmed by sunshine every day And we'll get to know each other for a second time And then you can tell me 'bout your prison stay... Feels so good... You're coming home soon! It's gonna to be good to have you back again with me Watching the laughter play around your eyes Come up and fetch you, saved up for the train fare money Kiss and make up and
  20. Chris Brickley may be his name. Anyway the full version of Venus Stopped The Train is on the other set of YHF demos, which can be downloaded in MP3 form in the music section of the grotto website. (http://www.the-grotto.com/talk/thread.jsp?forum=1&thread=4673&message=16194). --Mike

  22. He plays a similar model in a Wilco DVD I have, from Toronto in 2002 on Not For The Season, I love the sound of the Jazzmasters/Jaguars, very cool guitars. --Mike
  23. I think there is a mellotron on it or something that sounds like one, that's a vintage sixties keyboard that was a precursor to the synth, most famously used on The Beatles' Strawberry Fields Forever. Very cool instrument. --Mike
  24. if we can call them friends we can call them on red telephones and they won't pretend that they're too busy or they're not alone if we can call them friends we can call holler at 'em down these hallowed halls but we can't let the human factor fail to be a factor at all don't don't you worry about the atmosphere or any sudden pressure change 'cause I know that it's starting to get warm in here and things are starting to get strange and did you did you see how all our friends were there drinkin' roses from the can how how I wish I I had talked to them and wished they
