Somewhere over the two years I stopped worrying about whether or not the album was better then Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, how if they recorded the old version of Spiders or put Panthers and Cars Can't Escape in over the drone it would have been a better album, and started enjoying it for what it is. It's a very organic sounding album with some brilliant songwriting and even the lesser songs okay just I'm a Wheel are pretty enjoyable. At Least That's What You Said, Muzzle of Bees and Wishful Thinking rank high in my list of favorite Wilco songs, Muzzle has 3 spots in my Top 25 most listened to songs

This is true. Jethro, they were going to let you in on it, but you made Jorgenstorm cry with that "fruity piano" comment. --Mike

Though the idea of Lester Bangs finishing one of his cough syrup fueled diatribes with, well this is just my opinion is mildly amusing. --Mike

He's always been one of my favorites, from the moment I heard See Emily Play on a classic rock station here in Charleston. Rest in Peace Syd. I'll be thinking of bikes and gnomes in your honor today. --Mike

Yeah last night we were chatting with one of the two people running the feed, they are going to put the direct soundboard feed up in the roadcase within the next couple of days. --Mike
-
A Soundboard of this will be up on the roadcase section of wilcoweb within the next few days. I loved the fake out ending to Spiders and In a Future Age and Far Far Away sounded excellent over the webcast last night. Ashes and The Good Part were highlights as well. --Mike

Both of those are right, I am not sure which of the Fillmore gigs Sam filmed, that was a three night run and I think most everything on the DVD and extras was played each of three nights. They played two shows in Minneapolis June 29th and 30th in 2001. These were the first Wilco shows with Glenn, though I think that lineup joined Jeff for the encores of two solo shows of May of that year. I know the slow version of Monday on the second disc is from the second night, and there's a possiblity everything from the film is night two but I am not postive I only have the second show on disc and th

I am seeing him in Charleston at Mountain Stage Sunday, it will be a short set like 6-7 songs, but I am looking forward to it. --Mike

I picked this up at Kroger's (one of the few places in Charleston, WV with it's finger on the pulse of the indie scene) yesterday. Excellent read, all around, since I recently ended my subscription to Spin (Klosterman leaving finally convinced me to do what I should have done a long time ago), I think I might replace it with Paste. I've bought like the last six issues anyway. --Mike

This is my personal fav of Joni's, it's from her second record Clouds, not quite on the level of Blue, but a pretty enjoyable record. This song well words really can't do it justice. Songs To Aging Children Come Through the windless wells of wonder By the throbbing light machine In a tea leaf trance or under Orders from the king and queen Songs to aging children come Aging children, I am one People hurry by so quickly Don't they hear the melodies In the chiming and the clicking And the laughing harmonies Songs to aging children come Aging children, I am one Some come dark and stra
