Looks like an excellent show, I've gotten into them pretty heavily this year and really enjoy the new one. --Mike

Jeff Mangum Returns And We Really Mean It This Time Lost album of Beatles material surfaces Run DMC To Tour With The Knack Elliott Smith Found Alive in Monogolia 37 record-store clerks feared dead in Yo La Tengo concert disaster --Mike -
I am enjoying this one quite a bit as well. I actually liked Summer Sun a lot, making me one of the six people that dug it, but this one feels like classic Yo La Tengo, all over the place and a great mix of noise freak outs and pop songs. It just doesn't get much better then Mr. Tough. --Mike

Yeah that would be fantastic. Disc 4 of the Ghost project is going to feature these quite a bit, but to hear some of the tunes remastered and in soundboard form would be great. Maybe in 20 years Nonesuch will start putting out a Bootleg Volume series like Columbia does with Dylan now. Wishful Thinking. --Mike

Quite possibly the two greatest live shows of Wilco career, they're certainly my favorite boots. I could only imagine how great it would have been to be there. --Mike

The laws regarding sampling have changed since 1986, so I am not sure how this case is going to work out. I'm hoping the Knack get laughed out of court for trying to do this. --Mike

He talks a little bit to introduce the songs and explain his roles in the ones that he played on. It's nothing too detailed though. --Mike

The tracklisting on that one looks great, but I haven't been able to get the link to work. It keeps telling me the file isn't found. Did the downloads on it max out? --Mike

It's a toss up between that, Going to California and Ten Years Gone for me. --Mike

If it does happen I might have to make a roadtrip up for the shows. If they are anything like their runs in 2003, 2004 or 2005 I don't think I want to miss out. --Mike

That was the first thing I noticed. --Mike

It doesn't get much better then this. Okay maybe vocally it does --Mike

I've always found his music pretty bland, even the John Mayer trio stuff doesn't really do it for me. I didn't even realize he was a bit of a prick, that I could forgive though if I enjoyed his stuff. I did enjoy hearing his first single get airplay, just because it was a break from the nu-metal rap-rock moment. I'll say he was great in that Chappelle show episode and does a pretty interesting cover of Radiohead's Kid A, but other then that I care very little about him. --Mike

I was hooked before I even heard a note of their music, I just read that they had a song called "Even Hitler Had a Girlfriend" and that along with the band's name made me seek them out instantly. If there was any justice in this world, they'd be bigger then Green Day. --Mike

This one of the four cassettes I brought with me to college, I taped it off my Dad's vinyl copy. It's making me homesick, but still impressed by Todd Rundgren's studio studio wizardry. --Mike

He's quite the talent as a musician and a writer, King Dork is great. --Mike

Two, Three and Four are my personal favorites, though I probably listen to Physical Graffti the most, for Ten Years Gone. They are a very easy band to take for granted, but they were able to sucessfully blend a lot of styles and have a deep rewarding catalouge. I think I'll cue up Going To California right now actually. --Mike

Yeah a three or four night run around Thankgiving would be great. --Mike

New Elliott Smith Demos; Including Uber-Sad "True Love"

Yeah these are fantastic and highly recommended. --Mike -
The last Wilco World news letter said this run will be their last set of shows for awhile, so I wouldn't be surprised if a few more were added and somehow it ends in Chicago. --Mike

I'm listening to Pavement's answer to it.
