So why do I waste so much time listening to the crap that doesn't even hold a candle?

I notice that whenver I listen to the Beatles these days, which I have to admit is not really all that often, I invariably wonder why I waste so much of my time listening to the crap that I listen to when I am not listening to the Beatles.

Thurston Moore - Trees Outside the Academy I saw him last night in brooklyn. Wow. First time seeing him. Played most of the tunes from the new album and the whole set was acoustic. Never has an acoustic set rocked so effin' hard. Came back out for an electric encore. Great stuff... I really need to check out some more SY stuff.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. Let's not forget the cherry on top: Wilco. I am always amazed how many people have never heard of Wilco. They are certainly more popular than they've ever been, but this is not exactly The Rolling Stones.

Yep, I was at that show. Never have I been such an island in a sea of confusion. I did not like that band and everyone around me was acting like this was the greatest band ever. And then they started throwing spoons. The vast majority of them left after Cowboy Mouth was done so I was able to scoot right up to the front. So all was well that ended well. But jeez.

You are right and I spoke too broadly. Dershowitz and AIPAC have the own opinions and agendas. And so far as I know, Dershowitz welcomes debate on the subject. So long as Dershowitz has an opinion and is willing to debate the point, I dont see what makes him anything other than a person with an opinion you don't agree with.

By getting someone to debate him, as they often do, and claim the opposite? On the very same TV programs that Dershowitz goes on? Notwithstanding your claims otherwise, it is not automatically assumed that a person who disagrees with him is anti-semitic. Whether Dershowitz assumes this or not, the viewing public would not and does not. So get someone intelligent to debate him in a forum that he welcomes.
