Sopranos: The Movie? Haha, just kidding. I was thinking the same thing. In a weird way, i feel like this season is the same as the last few. Slowly building yet slowly resolving as well. We have a better sense of where all the main characters are now, and I bet the next few episodes will begin to close some doors.

Sorry I missed it. Happy birthday!

Thanks for the link. I put this in the same category of most solo McCartney, which is to say that it is missing something. And that something is John.

I someones wonder if Jeff/Jay ever listen to the other's new album once released. Maybe in a private moment at home to sort of see where an old buddy is these days musically? I mean, its human nature, right? All the BS notwithstanding, these guys had such a powerful connection and relationship with music for so long. You'd think they be interested in hearing what the other guy has done/is doing. Maybe not in a Lennon/McCartney/How Do You Sleep/Another Day sense, but at least privately, no?

I thoroughly enjoyed that. Great work.

I have no interest in defending the idea that his parents are to blame. But there is something to be said for all of us being to blame, like Gary said. To the extent we live in and support a community (intentionally or not) where mentally ill folks aren't cared for properly because of lack of funds or lack of understanding or anything else for that matter. Different circles of the community are responsible to differing degrees for ensuring that people who need help get help. I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that his parents (just like all parents) have a responsibility to their

Re: the media -- there is no denying the rubbernecking phenomenon. Why do people slow down to look when they pass a car accident? It's innate, I suppose. I can't explain why most have the instinct to tune into this kind of stuff. And you are right, that's why the media feeds it to us. But that being said, there is a fine line between media that gives us what we want, and media hyping situations beyond reality for effect because they are playing to our rubbernecking tendencies. I hear you, and I sympathize with much of what you say, but the media has a large role in fanning flames that a

Oh, no argument from me. But so is Jason Alexander, Kelsey Grammer, etc. I just think its hard for actors to break out of the mold and find success after a show like that. And my sense was that the secondary characters from the Sopranos weren't paid all that well. I could be wrong. I am not trying to be a conspiracy theorist. Just that everything seems to be about money these days, so if a studio offers them a boatload of money, it's hard for me to imagine that they'd walk away from it. Killing Tony closes all options. If you are David Chase do you really close the door, not knowing w

Thats what I meant -- he has future paydays ahead of him in music. I suppose James Gandolfini can parlay this into something big. But who else? Can you ever look at Edie Falco and think anything other than Carm?

Fair point, and I say it tongue in cheek, but think of what a cash cow the movie would be. An absolute cash cow. Every studio would fight to the death for it. And who from this show other than Silvio and Tony ever go on to a big payday elsewhere? Every other really big show that I can think of, off the top of my head, actors/actresses get typecast and its all over. What does Christopher Moltisanti do with himself after the Sopranos? Can you imagine him anywhere else? (Other than hanging at bars in Tribeca and Chelsea - he used to own a bar in my neighborhood). I hope they ride off int

They can't blow our minds too heavily without simultaneously ruining their ability to make: SOPRANOS: THE MOVIE (you know its coming)

The front page picture of today's NYTimes is a shot from the video with what appears to be a big superimposed "NBC NEWS" in color in the top corner of the photo. Free advertising for NBC News. Good for them. *ssholes.

We knew this was coming... http://www.aolsportsblog.com/2007/04/17/ru...into-book-deal/ Rutgers Coach Parlays Don Imus Flap Into Book Deal Rutgers women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer, in the public eye for much of the last two weeks after Don Imus called her players "nappy-headed hos," has signed a contract to write her autobiography. "It's about an incredible woman with an extraordinary life story," said Tina Constable, executive vice president for publicity at Crown, who declined to say how much the company will pay Stringer. "She's a pioneer, a legend, an icon and a role mod

Not sure if it is BS or not, but someone just forwarded me two plays that the guy apparently wrote. I started reading one of them and then had this horrible, bizarre and sinking feeling that this sicko hoped that people would be reading his stuff. So, I stopped reading. I feel sick now.

They should put LED signs next to the terror-alert level color signs. What are we at in NY now? Orange? Yellow?
-
Way too much. I would bet $85. I will pay it. My first concert ever was Squeeze at MSG in 1989 on the babylon and on tour. I was also at the last Squeeze concert in NYC at Irving Plaza. The one when Tilbrook took the stage and mentioned that Chris didnt make the leap across the pond with the band. That sucked ass.
-
Yeah, i am an idiot to think it would've been anything else. I suppose the harmonies between the two of them will be enough. But Jools on keys would have been a nice cherry on top.
-
Also, i have no idea what Squeeze reunites means. Since they've had about 50 bass players, 12 keyboard players and 4 drummers. I vote for: Tilbrook Difford Jools (but I bet its Carrack) Gilson Lavis John Bentley

Yes, Metroland is quite good. A quick read too. Your proverbial coming of age story. Reminds me of Tolstoy's Childhood, Boyhood, Youth mixed with a bit of Catcher in the Rye. If that makes any sense.
