The Cowboys are heading to Louisville for the Super regional. Would have liked to play them on our home field, but we've been a better road team lately. Go Pokes -

I wasn't thinking his job was in jeopardy, but I thought his decisions on pitching order (especially considering the Saturday night game) might make get the local media and fans on his case. -

No. My wife and I used to love following the Cowboys in the post-season, but that was BC (Before Children). Never been to Omaha though. (Knock on wood.) Can't go this year, as we have other vacation plans, but that would be one we'd take the kids to in the future if OSU can make it to the CWS. Thankfully, CSTV was airing the Fayetteville regional (and streaming the broadcast online), so I got to watch it from home. Looked like a pretty wild atmosphere. I knew the Pokes could rake, but I'm glad we got our pitching to come around at the right time. Is the heat on Van Horn over there? -

How about "One True Vine" and its Christian connotations? I was last in line For the one true vine The endless winding thread I was dead at first I had done my worst When you came to me Life had ceased I was lost and tired You set me free from this mighty mighty fire Just in time to be My one true vine And you still come to me And you comfort me You -

Not to hi-jack the thread, but ... When I was a kid I had an 8-track of Wings' Greatest Hits ... but it wasn't Paul and the band playing, it was the kind of tape you'd buy off a convenience store rack. I can't recall the actual name, but it was one of those "Stars on 45"-type albums that featured cheesy cover songs. Here is the rest of my 8-track collection at the time: Tom Petty (Damn the Torpedos), Cheap Trick (Dream Police) and the Cars (Candy-O). Ah, good times. -
Thought about it ... didn't want it to be too obvious.

Make sure the venue allows cameras first. Fortunately, the band DOES allow cameras ... "wilco does allow non-flash still photography wherever it does not conflict with venue or other restrictions beyond our control. please be considerate of others. we do not allow video taping, and ask that you refrain from using your cel phones during concerts." Key words: NON-FLASH photography. It might be a good idea to print the band's policies from the website to keep in your pocket in case the security guys give you a problem. And though it might be tempting, note that they don't allow video
