Taj Mahal - Everybody Got To Change Sometime 68 If I'm not mistaken, John Simon is on piano. What I love is that this guy is still out touring. Putting on great shows. He's an amazing musician.

Thanks Ken. That means a lot to both of us. We've decided the next time we come to the Chicago area, we'd love to meet up with you. As for the possible bruise, She smacks me enough I've actually developed somewhat of a callous! His son said he thought it was a good thing that things can break. Because if things never broke then bad things would last forever. I'm not sure that's exactly what he said but that is VERY close. I was hesitant to post it for fear of screwing up what is a profound statement.

Following She's A Jar someone asked him what a sleepy kisser was. He turned it around and asked what do YOU think it is? Not in a smart ass way but one that implied, take it any way that feels right to you. There was some idle chatter about the definition and he then added his thoughts on what it was to him. Not a direct quote of course: when someone gives you a kiss early in the morning with little enthusiasm. Usually accompanied by morning breath. After this I looked to my wife and raised my eyebrows as to insinuate her morning breath and very sleepy kisses. She then slapped me in the che

Anna and I noticed that. Very thoughtful Ken. Not that your mug is ugly........you know what I mean.

Matt Z!!!!! Once again you've hit it right on the head! I've also been to a few of these fantastic shows and I can honestly say it always gets better! I will now bring up some highlights to add to the already strong list of Matt's. 1. The owner of The Frye Company, maker of Frye boots, loves Wilco and sends boots/shoes to "Jeff quite often. Including the dapper pair of wing tip shoes he was wearing. 2. Jeff has a large collection of puppet socks that he wears quite often, including this night. 3. I have to mention the proposal. When Matt proposed to Kathy he said, "Your love is like music to

What's the difference?

He's still the man! Thank you.

I think Chicago has been a little selfish with it's Wilco and it's about time it starts sharing.

I'd pay a lot of money to watch/listen to ZZ Top do Casino Queen.

I loved the game as well as the ending and I'm about as much of a non-fan as you can get. Never mind the fact that I had an open tibia fracture playing indoor soccer one week before I was scheduled to get married in Jamaica. That's another thread. Sorry but the Ghana dude should have put the ball in the goal.......it was wide open. Opportunity missed.

"Get away from the bar-b-que man...... Get the hell away from that thing!" That album is flawless! Stranded on an island type of album.

The Band

I have a sneaky suspicion it had something to do with a classic Band tune. That would get me excited. ?uestlove is amazing. Alex Van Halen has that "brown sound" snare that gives him away every time.

Thanks Jay -
The soundtrack to Shaft has some of the sexiest grooves I've ever heard. IMO best album for the sheets! Some examples: Bumpy's Lament Do Your Thing

bands you might listen to more if they had a different singer

Great LPs with crappy openers

There's a point during that intro where the needle is picked up and placed back on the record for longer playing time. If you pay attention you can tell when it happens. I can't remember how I know that but I do. I believe PB is one of the best albums in the entire history of music and it wouldn't be complete without that opener (and closer). My vote would have to be for The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion) off of Skeletons From The Closet. I know, it's a Best Of but that's the first one that came to me. -

It's a little Muppet-esque. I like his lower pitch stuff but that high thing......idk -
