It's not very simple in garageband since you can't open more than one project at a time. Furthermore, I think Garageband adds a few seconds of silence around the tracks it makes, so you'll never get the gapless audio you want with that. For the record, I do believe the Les Paul has its normal pickups on there, but additionally has a synthaseizer pick-up in case i ever want to start making strange noises with the guitar. P.S. I really do appreciate all this discussion...It's helping a lot. Thanks everyone!
