  1. Good album, but not their best in my opinion. I really like This Big Come Up and the EP they did of Junior Kimbrough covers.
  2. I had box seats for the first night. Ah...what a night! Good times.
  3. Okay, this is just a rumor......but it does come from a very valid source. A good friend of mine works at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI....On Friday she called to let me know that the Riverside is finalizing the details for Tweedy to play a solo show there on 10/31. With his DVD coming out in October this really seems to make sence. I'm guessing that we might get lucky and get a run of solo shows around the release of Sunken Treasure! Keep your eyes pealed, some dates will be posted soon!
  4. Are you joking? DBT rocks! Go! Go to multiple show if possible!
  5. It's a solid EP. I also like Easy Beat. Lookin' forward to seeing these guys when they open up for the Black Keys.
  6. I agree, flac frontend seems to be the way to go.
  7. That was my first thought when reading the post too.
  8. Not trying to be rude. Sorry. But really, in my opinion, the new tunes sound nothing like AM or Being There....and I really like 'What Light'.
  9. Lyrically the new songs are nothing like Being There and musically they sound absolutely nothing like AM........but, I'm gald they make you happy. 'What Light' is the best new tune that they have played so far. I hope more like it follow.
  10. any invites left?? I'd really like to get one. delteakwood@yahoo.com Thanks.
  11. It's definitly an Santa Cruz OOO. I play a Santa Cruz D/PW.....best guitar ever! I have a photo of the headstock as my avator. This is the one that Jeff plays (OOO): This my D/PW:
  12. I always liked his band 5style.
  13. One of the most prominent representatives of roots reggae music Joseph "Culture" Hill (born January 22, 1949 in Linstead, Jamaica) died Saturday morning August 19, 2006, in Berlin, Germany, while on tour with his group Culture. The lead singer of the veteran reggae group, who a couple of hours before had done a successful show in Antwerp, Belgium, suddenly took ill and died. Joseph Hill, whose songwriting abilities were outstanding, was "the leading exponent of conscious reggae" and music reviewers have lauded his achievements for three decades. Alongside Burning Spear, Dennis Brown and Bob Ma
  14. Jay....Is that you??? I was not bashing Jay in my previous post. I am a big Bennett fan....his time in the band are of my favorite years of Wilco. Great guitar player, I prefer his style to that of Nels. Very creative song writer when collaborating with Tweedy...I personally have never gotten into his solo/post-Wilco projects. I wish he was still in the band.
  15. For some reason I chuckled when I noticed on Jay's Myspace page that he has 2184 friends. I can imagine Jay looking at this every day to feel good about himself.
  16. I would suggest Live at the Old Quarter and Rearview Mirror.
  17. Not sure if there are many gamers on VC.....check this link and watch the videos....this thing looks sweet. http://wii.nintendo.com/home.html
  18. thank you, thank you, thank you for the link. Downloaing as I type. Can't wait to listen to it!
  19. Not sure if anyone cares, but Paul Languedoc is now selling guitars to the public for 10k a pop. For many years he only built guitars for Trey Anastasio from Phish. Good for Paul, I'm sure he'll sell a few....just not to me. ....But it is pretty sweet to look and drool. Check the site. http://www.languedocguitars.com/
  20. I write a lot of music and have been playing in bands for many years. I once gave Tweedy one of del mar's CD's....I'm sure he never listened to it. Check the post signature for the website. You can also buy our latest CD on iTunes.
