Way to kill a dream, there.

Whenever that chick would pop up in the video, I kept thinking "That's not Jeff's wife!" Damn videos always with some hot chick that isn't Jeff's wife...the nerve! Unless it was Sue in a black wig. Then it's okay.
-
Odd. Although I guess it was worth it to see Jeff in a hospital gown.

At the Greek in Berkeley and the Fillmore in the City, bags were "searched" at the door. Meaning you open your bag, they look in for a split second, and let you pass. Once inside, everyone had cameras out. Cameras and pipes.

For me it's Poor Places. For a period of time in my life, the breakdown of the song into chaos resembled a breakdown of sanity, and the one piano note + yankee hotel foxtrot repitition were distress signals. A very cheery thought indeed...

It's up on Wilcoworld!!!! It's true! It's true!!

I saw Stevie Nicks at the CP. I so wish I could say that I haven't. Woo hoo!

Let's keep praying that happens!

Walnut Creek, eh? I'm in San Ramon. Maybe we can petition for a Tri-Valley show instead. Although I really don't care for the Concord Pavilion.

The 29th is a Wednesday, which blows. Cause I'm up here in the Bay Area and would certainly drive down if it were closer to the weekend; but it ain't. They can make it up to me by playing a couple dates up here instead.

Is it me? Or am I the only one who hears Far, Far Away when I listen to Sky Blue Sky? I love the song, it's probably my favorite at the moment. But there are times where I think it's about to dissolve into Far, Far Away.

With the commentary track, it's like having 3 discs. 3 discs in 2.

That's the point where I know I'm not the only one singing every word of every song he's singing. It's a magical moment.

A friend of mine picked me up a copy of Monitor This a couple weeks ago, because it had Wilco on the cover and she knows I'm a Wilco nut. I just pulled it out and it's the same exact cover as Snap, with the same articles and everything...just different name.

Damn! I was hoping Jeff would do a Rocky Horror cover! Actually, I could picture him doing a mean "Hot Patootie."

AM gets the most plays on my iPod, which kind of surprised me. I thought it would have been YHF. Should've Been In Love gets the most play out of all Wilco songs, followed closely by Still Be Around....which is Uncle Tupelo, not Wilco, but still gorgeous.

The best. Then again it sports the most fabulous song ever recorded by a non-Wilco group... Kashmir. I listened to that album non-stop while I was a Junior in high school.

Sweet. I already own Born Again. Fabulous record, but too short! It could have used a couple more songs. As for Kicking Television, I'm not really partial to live recordings. Don't know why, since Wilco gives the best live performances I ever heard. I think I would just rather see them live and listen to their studio recordings over and over.

Watch it, bub! Anywho, I finally ordered my copy last night through Wilcoworld. Had to delay the event due to my budget. Anywho again, I just got an email this morning saying that my shipment will be delayed because the dvd is on back order. I should receive my order within 1 to 4 weeks. Great... But I'm still super excited to see it. Watching the trailer on the website gives me goosebumps.

All these lines are beautiful. They're a testament as to how great a lyricist Jeff is.

Jesus, etc. If it wasn't for this one song, I wouldn't even be posting on this board.

I've sat through the commentary on more than one occassion. They're a fun group of guys to just listen in on. Jeff seems to have a fixation on the size of his ass in the movie.

My Quicktime doesn't want to work, so all I got was the audio. Still kicked ass. (Total flash back to Jeff's shows, and realizing how much I'm craving another live Wilco fix!!)
