Isn't Sam Beam's (Iron & Wine) fame largely attributed to Starbucks placement? His music is good, so if Starbucks helped him, more power! That said, I've never bought a CD at Starbucks.

The craziest thing is that Bob Dylan can actually sing like Pavoratti, but the soundman has repeatedly fucked up the pitch control since the mid 60s.

Some of the songs on New Moon are probably already on Sweetadeline.com. You'll probably have to wait a little while for the previously unreleased ones, but I'm sure they'll post them soon enough. Those ES fans are pretty rabid.
