That's incredibly sad.

It's amazing that Cliff's Notes for The Stranger exist (the English version, anyway). It's a pretty riveting, easy, and short read. I think I did it in an hour. It would probably take just as long to read the Cliff's Notes. Gotta make a living, though, I guess.

Touche. My guess is that Bush even read the abridged version/he had someone brief him on it.

Just remember this when the next elections come around. Remember that this budget was written by the hardcore Republicans who pull the strings- the real Bush Administration. The President, in this case, is mostly the loud end of the bullhorn, though he'd like to believe that he pulls the trigger. He probably hasn't even read the budget. I'm sure that the cuts for Education are meant to put a priority on the sale of our National Forests to fund rural schools. Remember- those are our National Forests, not Chevron's, Exxon's, or WalMart's. And Godspeed to Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pe

Reading Camus' The Stranger is about as hard as watching television.

it will probably be nuquelar powered, as well

Remember when Rumsfeld and Cheney said that the TerrorWar in Iraq would cost just $50-60bn, and all other estimates were "malarkey"?

Regardless of whether you think this budget is okay, it angers me. My summary (lots more in the article): This guy is such a fucking asshole.

Not like a gummy bear- rather, some kind of malleable textured sugar composite.

Aw, Jeez, gross! Keep it in the Raisinettes thread, will ya?

Ex-fucking-actly. I'm glad we had this talk.

Damn, those selfish jerks won't let us download it! JKJKJKJK

Ha, I do that mostly with the SweeTarts. Smarties go right into the mouth, all at once, unsorted. The white ones are definitely the best, though.
-
Ah, Smarties rule. I can eat pack after pack of those things in one bite. Ever have the jumbo sized Smarties, though? Not as good. Smarties lollies are pretty good, though.
-
They have 3-packs of giant chewy Sweetarts. Also, you can get bags of mini Sweetarts that are pretty much guaranteed to cause stomach pain for any serious Sweettarts fan. They are so easy to eat. I've eaten entire bags before- like 10 servings' worth.

I don't know about that, but they sure remind me of grape chewable Tylenols of yore. I remember when my Ma gave me a non-chewable Tylenol for the first time. Man did that not chew well.

That's actually what inspired this goddam poll. Why does purple seem to be so rare sometimes? If it were up to me, they'd make entire rolls of purple Sweetarts, just like they do for the cherry Lifesavers.

Captain's Dead by VC's own Greg. My Internets site (see below) isn't an MP3 blog, but we have a weekly podcast (MP3), lossless downloads 2x/week, and record reviews every Wed.

AS far as I know, it's just Eric Johnson. The only dates that I have confirmed with him are 5/3 and 5/4, but if Billions says otherwise, it's likely to be true.
-
I recorded the stream too but I had a 1 sec. dropout about 2/3 of the way through, so I deleted it. Didn't someone say that Wilcoworld is going to post it for download shortly?

Yeah, this is the Feb 25, 2006 show at UChicago where Jeff & Nels cover Neil Young's "Walk On."

Too bad they don't play for free at the Point anymore.
