  1. I gather that not many Pitchfork fans will be picking this up: 3.5 I think they're overdoing it a little. The album is a C at worst.
  2. I put a permanent link to "Someone Else's Songs" above. Thanks, A-man.
  3. Ditto on both counts. And the only reason I'm comparing it to the other albums is because the songs, and especially the lyrics, sound recycled. It's too bad, really, but there doesn't seem to have been much creative energy flowing for Lu on this one.
  4. By the way, I'm not sure why anyone would claim that Mencia stole his joke. I mean, all of Mencia's jokes are really, really bad.
  5. Mencia is such a douche. He is about only 3% funny. (And, obviously, 0% funny in this, except in his crappiness.)
  6. The Christmas album, although 5 CDs only clocks in at around 2 hours, if I remember correctly. That said, I could never get into Illinoise. There were a couple of good songs, the rest just annoyed the hell out of me.
  7. I have to say that West is disappointing, but I'm not too terribly surprised. West seems like a combination of Essence and World Without Tears, but with very little new stuff. The lyrics seem recycled (and bland), and although I really like the sound, it too is not much different from Essence and WWT. It all seems too obviously derivative of her past work. I'm going to have to give it a more thorough listen, but at this point, I'd say it's definitely a little disappointing. Some of her best songs came from World Without Tears- Fruits of My Labor, World Without Tears, but there is no trace
  8. Both, left unchecked, quickly go out of control. Unfortunately for the greedy and uncaring (anti-socialists) and the lazy and uncaring (anti-capitalists), the best way to keep each in check is to inject bits of its opposite and balance it. Thus, we have the Social Democracy. Regardless, I'm sure that Tweedling has never benefited from any "Socialist" aspect of our government.
  9. You should check out her latest one, if you haven't yet. It's really cool, less like the prior one.
  10. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that most of the guitar work on AGIB is Jeff's.

  13. It takes a while to download, gather, and upload this stuff- and all for the sole purpose of putting it all in one place. I also have other things going on, etc., etc., such as unruly cats. I haven't even listened to a single one of these. Sometimes, things take time.
  14. Wow, I had no idea that their client
