I am SOOO ready. It was nice to see a game in a stadium last night on the TV - Spring Training is pretty snoozy to watch and doesn't count. Season starts tomorrow people.....TOMORROW!!! Sox start on Monday - and have an afternoon game. And....since I am no longer employed.....I will get to see it! WAHOO! -- now, I don't know if it was doubter on TV - but it sure looked like him and he had on a Sox hat that I have seen him wear in pictures. I like to think it was him. How cool that would be! I don't even know his current VC name - so I can't attempt to drop him a line to ask if he was, in

Jawbox were one of the nicest bands I ever had the pleasure of spending time with. They stayed with me and some friends when they were touring in 1992. I still remember having a pleasant morning with them around the breakfast table munching on bagels and coffee.......I remember thinking at the time how surreal it was to be eating breakfast with one of my favorite bands. Salt of the earth. Kim C and I used to write letters/postcards to each other as well.....back in the days before the interweb. I will definitely be sending something to them as soon as I am able. It is so heartening to see

I know we have a few Jawbox fans out there - they were one of my favorites back in the day. Those Dischord albums will always be favorites. Anyhow, I was web surfing last night and came across this. I thought some of you would like to see this. For The Benefit of Cal Robbins Oh bless.

I am not a fan of any of the Godfather movies.... Give me Goodfellas anyday - now, THAT could very well be the best movie ever made.

I went to Cooperstown on a quiet early Spring day and it was empty and I loved it. The landscape is absolutely stunning in that area. I drove from Woodstock to Cooperstown and was in awe. Cooperstown is one of the lovliest little towns I have ever seen.....tucked between a mountain and a lake. I loved the museum and have such a weakness for baseball swag - so that place was a little dangerous for the credit card. I hope you enjoy it!!

I am just so excited about being able to participate in the demonstration this year......when I read about it, I knew I had to go. I was never able to get out there in the last few years - because of the expense. But, we got a smokin' great deal on airfare and a hotel. It's even cheaper than a road trip, which was our original plan. I never even consider flying anywhere because of the cost - travelocity to the rescue! I am still in shock at the low price we got. -- Tracy - that is a great story!!

holy moly - yesssssssssss....... I am getting so excited, sitting here thinking about all of this stuff!!! I was also thinking - anyone know what the jails are like in DC?? We are participating in non-violent civil disobedience outside of the White House, with risk of arrest.......so, who wants to possibly come and get us out of jail?? haha!

luckily, this trip will be child free......a much needed "vacation" We just don't have enough time to see everything. I remember going as a kid and trying to hit all of the Smithsonian within a week - impossible. so, we will have to be pretty selective. So, I would like to try and see things I haven't been to before. National Archives sounds good to me too...... I can't believe I have never seen the Vietnam Memorial - I would like to find my uncle on there. -- Ethiopian is my favorite food, period.......so- thanks for that info!! -- Tourmobile might work out perfectly - since w
